CO Special Meeting with MS & Elders

when the co visits a cognregation this semester, a special meeting with elders and mss is sceduled tuesday night, right after the normal meeting.

does anyone know what this meeting is about?

this special meeting is held at the beginning of the co-week, and is different from the standard meeting with personnel which is held friday evening.

so, the kingdumb hell i usually go to is being gutted and renovated.

still, needing to keep up appearances, mostly for the sake of my still-in parents, i went to another nearby.

anyhow, the weekday meeting was tuesday there.

So, the Kingdumb Hell I usually go to is being gutted and renovated. Still, needing to keep up appearances, mostly for the sake of my still-in parents, I went to another nearby. Anyhow, the weekday meeting was Tuesday there. This particular Tuesday (last night, 05/13), during the Bible highlights, someone sitting near the back made a comment, relating to the pomagranits on the priest's robe and how pomigranits were also at one point associated with pagan worship. Then he basically made the point that just because something was once considered pagan, should not affect if we can or can't do it.

It struck me as a decidedly dodgy comment from the WT point of view, and bordering on possibly being one of us awakend ones? I intended to find him after and tell him I liked the comment, but he dodged out quickly after the meeding.

It occured to me he may be on here. So, if you recognize yourself in the above, shoot me a pm.

The REAL reason for the elder and ms appointment change......

as seen in recent posts, beginning later this year appointments and deletions of elders and ms will only happen through the circuit overseer.

this means that individual congregations and elders have no say anymore.

if the gb want only certain people in or out, they tell the co and he makes it happen.

This decision was made because of one thing: Candice Conti (and cases like it).

If the GB and WT HQ don't appoint these men, they're not responsable for what they do, and can't be sued.. That responsibility is now on the CO. And you can bet your butt, they won't get any legal help from Brooklin Warwick.

All appointed men are being told they have to pioneer now!

yes, you read correctly..... all appointed men have been told in a new letter that they have to pioneer to "set the lead" whenever there is a "special" campaign month.

they use some scripture saying that these ones have to show by example.... so for any of us who are appointed and have learned ttatt, it is going to be very hard to fade during this time!.

SECRET SIGN FOR FADERS

faders need a secret sign to use at the khall.

the thought came to me after reading replies to datadogs post on stopping singing at the meetings.. i can suggest a few secret signs for faders to use and to look for at the khall, but it would be better that current meeting attenders make suggestions here.

if readers on this site can agree to a secret sign to use at the meetings, just imagine the power that would have at your kingdom hall.

I keep my eyes open during prayers.

I have noticed one sister at my hall who also does. Very odd, because otherwise she doesn't seem to be a fader or give any hint that she's not 100% JW.
