Like Vitty said, the drones will just blink and say how marvelous it is that Jehoopla saw fit to lovingly correct these minor errors. It just shows his spirit is upon the brothers, who are, after all, imperfect humans. What rich blessings he bestows!

September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book
by dozy ini can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

What Things Did You Hate About Being A Jehovah's Witness?

They talk about us being imperfect humans, in need of Christ's ransom sacrifice, bla-bla, but never cut you any slack, as that imperfect person, if you make a mistake! They expect you to tow the line with all the silly rules. And everything is wrong, wrong, wrong. Seemed like they killed all the fun in life, the life God gave us to enjoy. Doom and gloom. Don't take part in this, don't share in that.
There were so many snotty ones at the Hall, real backstabbers, and you had to mingle with them anyway, put a smile on your face and chat before and after the meetings. If you were an elder's kid, you had to walk on eggshells to be an example and not make your Father look bad.
The awful clothes, and panty hose when it was hot, then freezing in the cold with bare legs, just no common sense in what we had to go around wearing in public.
The shame of being an honors student and the rest of your class knowing you couldn't go to college. Trying to finish homework in the parking lot late at night while waiting for the elder's meeting to finish,up after the service meeting.
Being badgered to comment at the Watchtower meeting. The mildewy, musty, damp odor in the Hall built next to a rusty creek Reading the daily text before breakfast on camping trips, and saying a prayer before meals ("shall we bow our heads in prayer?) Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came home to find my wife crying over THAT article.
by jambon1 ini came home today to find my wife crying whilst reading the 'when a loved one leaves jehovah' article.
its been a good few months now and i can appreciate how she feels.
but it just irritates me how my disagreeing with this religion has such a catastrophic effect on our everyday lives.

What irritates me most about this disgusting article, is it gives hope that children who faded may return to Jehoopla'sdumpstertable any day now, if they just keep praying for us. Like we don't really mean it, when we say we're never coming back, and they can be all smug and think to themselves, "We'll see. That Watchtower says our loved ones might someday return to the truth, and we're to keep praying, and Jehoopla's door is still open, bla-bla." It's insulting our intelligence, like we can't possibly, really mean NEVER!I just hope this doesn't have my parents all stirred up, either hopeful, then disappointed, or in tears because they thought they raised me to be a good person. Well, they did! I have a good job, college degree, nice home, nice husband, obey the law, pay bills on time, work hard, take care of my health and appearance, etc, but don't go to the Kinkdumb Hall. Only a Witless parent would be disappointed in a child who turned out like me. This article will encourage them to see us fader kids as failures based on sales meeting attendance and book peddling.

Prince and his wife are divorcing after 5 years of marriage...
by TresHappy in.
according to www.people.com .
if someone else has posted this...sorry!
-
Virgochik
They'd better be divorcing on scriptural grounds, or somebody will have to donate a lot of money to remain in Jehoopla's favoor!

What charitable works have you done?
by anewme inthe watchtower society is notorious for discouraging the brethren from performing acts of kindness and charity towards people of the world, claiming in their literature it is a waste of time or worse the funds may be absconded.
(see awake of this year "what is happening to charity?
today was 109 degrees in our town.

Anewme, you are so right...we were generous before, and we still are! Amazing, isn't it, we don't suddenly get stingy and mean the day we leave the Kinkdumb Hall, lol!
ASPCA is " American Society (for the) Prevention (of) Cruelty (to) Animals., sometimes called the SPCA. They even have a show called Animal Cops on Dish Network. They do educational work in schools, spay and neuter strays, rescue abused and abandoned animals, and care for them until they can be placed.
I tend to help animals because they cannot help themselves, like most humans can.

I send checks to the ASPCA and to the local Humane Society. I give furniture, shoes and clothing to Goodwill, even tho I could have sold it for cash at a yard sale. When I did have a yard sale last month, I practically gave stuff away, if the people seemed like they needed it.

Too Dang HOT!!
by caligirl ini just stepped out into my back yard and thought i was going to melt.
i was going to fill up the inflatable pool for my son, but by the time it gets filled up, the water will be about 90 and not worth the bother.
i'm sure that other california people can relate to this.

We've got an awning over our patio, so it's tolerable out back in the evening. Mid-90's here. It's the only good reason to go to work....the air conditioning!

I think sometimes, men are just laying low, hoping it will go away. Or they're afraid to ask, afraid it might be really bad, something serious. Some might just be arrogant enought to think we'll forget about it if they ignore us. Wrong answer, lol!
Funny, as I'm reading this, I see my neighbor's girlfriend moving out.
