Big announcement after all DC have ended?

has anyone else heard this?

Why do the majority of "newbies" disappear ???
by kid-A ini have noticed that, in general, there is a "core" of regular posters on jwd that have been members for several years.. however, it seems the vast majority of "newbies" disappear after a couple posts, days or perhaps a week.
how many "welcome" or "introduction" .
threads have we had here where the new member disappears within a day or so, never to post again?

lets imagine that the watchtower was a brand new religion that just started.. and up to now, they didn't make any false prophesy yet, and they would be preaching that the end is soon and they would have the same life style and internal laws.. in other words, their past wouldn't be there to haunt them.. do you think that more people would join it?

Agreed - most or all who join today do not know, do not care, and really don't have a way of finding out about the history of JWs. So the past lies and failures are non-issues.
So the question is, would it appeal to you otherwise?
For me, no. I cannot be totally objective since my history as a 3rd gen JW makes me a knee-jerk skeptic about a lot of things now.
But I still don't think it would appeal to me - I don't like in-your-face, manipulative, wild-eyed hypocrites. But, hey - that's just me.
