  Good question. Do you know for a fact that there was a spike in the numbers of those leaving? Doesn't matter - it is inevitable with the proliferation of internet access and capabilities that the information highway is providing many with the road map to get out of the borg. I think the fact that the Watchtower, Bull Shit and Tract Society is demonizing the internet is proof positive.

  A 'Good Con Man needs....'

  i was reading in 'the times' yesterday about a clergy man found guilty of trying to get two ladies to sign over their estates to him in their wills.. the police found on his computer information on how to be a 'good conman'.. apparantly a good conman needs only a little truth mixed in with lies to con anyone.. is this how the wtbts gets away with it?

  when i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.

  it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.

  i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

  I found a purse yesterday. No joke. Someone had laid a fully-loaded purse - cell phone, wallet, etc - on a shelf whilst looking at place mats and napkins is a Cost Plus store. I took it to the register and asked the clerk if anyone reported missing a purse. She said no, but that she would hold it. I said, no, I would make sure it got back to the owner. (I trust my own honesty more than the clerk's.)

  The phone started ringing and I walked around the store looking for somebody using a cell phone. Sure enough in about 30 seconds, I spot a guy using his phone, he spots me and then the purse. His wife came over and they were both so grateful and relieved to get her purse back.

  Jehoobie was conspicuous by his absence from the entire drama.

  How many years since you left the wts?

  we had a thread yesterday about how many years we spent in the wts, so let's total up how many years it is since we lef or, if you are fading, since you last attended a meeting.. it's just over a year since i last went, and almost 7 since my bf last went, so our total is 8 years.. feel free to add your years out.

  check out David Icke

  I attended one of his lectures because I worked at the hall where he appeared, otherwise am not attracted to this type of stuff. I must say, however, that he was absolutely fascinating.

  Thank you Jaguar for putting this discussion into perspective - it is entertaining to speculate from a safe distance. All I ask is that we be respectful without resorting to name-calling and condescension.

  However, when it comes to the WTS, all bets are off!
