Help on Bolgarian Blood issue??

can someone point me too a site that has the documentation on the bolgarian blood transfusion agreement with the wts?

but to be honest, I do not see much harm in what the society did here. Nothing is really changed on the blood issue. The only thing is that some witnesses have a easier time in bulgaria. (and that the preaching work is easier). So what?

Danny, the letter above stated that "They have consistently refused donor blood ever since transfusions began to be widely used". Yet the WTS says its OK for someone to accept blood fractions. Where in the WORLD do you think these fractions come from? DONOR BLOOD!!

Once again the WT shows it HYPOCRITICAL side.

WTS-UN connection questions

we are well aware that the wts really enjoys favorable and positive publicity from the usually unfavorable and negative media concerning their actions.

we see many photo-ops and read many pro-wts articles where the media has been contacted to make sure the jws get glowing reports on building kingdom halls, putting roofs on the homes of jw hurricane victims, etc, etc.. .

these incidents and events are few and far between, but then we hear that the wts has been secretly "doing fine works" in the form of "relief" in foreign countries!

Hi Sunspot, I just got home and out of the shower here in New York. I have read your questions, I think I remember reading somewhere that An Org. didn't need a library card to begin with. That having been said, what gets me so damn mad is how they say, never to do anything that might stumble someone. I ask you whats more likely to get someone stumbled,

One joining the local YMCA to use the weight room or pool or
The WTS joining the dreaded UN to use the library

I posed this question to my wife a while back and got that look ( you know the one that could kill ) and no response. Hypocrites I tell you, just plain Hypocrites.

Raymond Franz

raymond franz was a member of the governing body and was a jw for many years till he left.. he wrote a book which provides a great insight into jw's but what is really good about it is he isn't bitter when he comes across and so far i am really enjoying the read.. also in there are copies of letters sent from him to the society or the other way around and i recommend anyone who can find it should read it!.

When I first started researching the internet, I ordered Rays books, read COC in 2 days, just couldn't put it down. ISOCF was even a better read I think. Really had much to do with my leaving the org. I cant thank him enough. I like the earlier posts about trying to send a letter or something to thank him. Does anybody know how old he is now? Moshe said he used to visit and call him. How bout it Moshe.

Hubby's home!

my husband is back home.

his hemoglobin is at 11. i will have to keep monitoring his stools for blood, and he will have to go back in for lab draws for blood counts.

but, he's doing well; and he's happy to be home.. thanks again to everyone for your kind thoughts and messages!.

CO calls meeting to discuss association with my parents

i'm so furious at the moment my keyboard is smoking whilst i'm typing this message.

i just got informed through one of my contacts that at the recent visit to my parents cong the visiting co brought the elders together to discusss with my father who is still an elder, to decide if he should be allowed to associate or even speak with me.

who in the hell do they think they are?

((((SF)))) I know the feeling you're going through right now. I have faded for the past 1 1/2 yrs now, and my wife and kids are still in. I as well am not DF'd, but am sure being shunned big time. It really sucks that they are after you like they are. I cant believe they have the nerve to do this behind your back. But thats the way they are. Scared sh-tless with no balls. Do you know of gross mistranslations in the JW Bible (NWT)

for all you that have studied the subject what are some big distortions of the original scriptures hebrew and greek, that are to be found in the jw bible (nwt)?

i found that at 1 thessalonians 4:15-17 it says that the living christians in the final days will be snatched up as soon as the dead ones get resurrected.

that blows up the jw belief that the said resurrection occured in 1918 because they weren't taken up at the same time.

Heb 1:6 They replace "worship" with "do obeisance" when refering to the angels and Jesus
Rom 10:13 "All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved." They put in Jehovah in place of the Lord.

JWs and voting??

i was talking to my jw boyfriend on the phone earlier today, just chatting about anything and everything, just like always, and we managed to drift to the topic of politics.

given that i'm in canada, that's not a hard thing to do, we had a federal election last week and we're about to swear in a new prime minister, so it's all anyone here can talk about right now.. as we chatted, i mentioned that i was very glad that i'd voted, though i'd had some trouble at my polling station, because i like exercising my democratic right to vote and now i have the right to complain about my government, and of course, he mentioned that he's never voted.

i wasn't at all surprised, i've always thought that jws weren't allowed to vote.

The QFR article was 'published' to the R&F by the Writing Department at Crooklyn. At the time, a GB member, the dominant one Ted Jarasz, overlorded Service Department and they sent a letter to BOE with the result that local bodies of elders were, and still are, enforcing the old rules i.e. dubs don't vote

Does anyone have any access to this letter?
