There is a god. If this question was asked on another site I think it would be overwelming in favor of a god. It seems that many ex JW's go atheist and I can't say I blame them. But I do believe in God and Jesus and the fact that someday He will return and set things straight for mankind.

I'm meeting with the elders today, oh yay!!!!!!!!!!!
by lola28 inas many of you know i will be meeting with the elders from my hall today.
i had decided to come clean and just tell them that i don't believe in this anymore.
however tonight i talked to one of my friends who is still a witness and i realized that there are a lot of people who would be very hurt if i got dfed, so i have made the choice to go into that meeting today and lie my ass off.

I cannot believe someone would say such a degrading thing in a public talk. It is degrading to both sexes. First that women are viewed as just a sexual object and second that we men do not have any self-control, or even do not love our mate enough that we would cheat on her. I think it is totally disgusting.

Something thats really started to be irritating to me!
by mkr32208 inthis is something that's really started to be irritating to me here and on some other forums that i visit.
while i've seen it in the past it seems to be getting out of hand (see the 9/11 and global warming threads) people are arguing or discussing something and all of the sudden you start seeing massive cut and paste documents!
one person post a 1000 word essay (or more) by a claimed expert supporting their side then the other does the same.

Introducing: my daughter!!!!!!

my daughter (let's call her abbadette) is visting me in the netherlands for the frist time this week.
she's nearly 16 and lives with her mum who is largely inactive but still culticly influenced.. my darling abbadette has kind of figured out that it is a load of (passes keyboard to daughter) utter and complete shite.. (regains use of keyboard) where ever did she learn langauage like that?
