I getting bored with this Board
by OlderTom ini'm just wondering if it is because i have changed and have gained my freedom from the watchtower enslavement or i just don't care anymore or is it that i have been exposed to too much of the same old complaints about the borg and all the false prophecies and the lies?.
i must admit i still get pleasure from reports of the watchtower walls starting to crumble al over the civilized world so i guess i'll continue to pop in from time to time.. as far as trying to de-program and rescue the poor unfortunate brainnumbed watchtower slaves, i think it's a total waste of time after all how do get through to people who prefer to believe in the lies when they know they are lies but they just don't want to see the real truth about the "truth(tm)".
i gues they don't want to see the real truth because it would force them to start thinking for them selves again and for some people that is just too much of a burden to bear.

Joyce Meyer and the nature of God
by Mommie Dark inafter i left the wt, i spent years isolated, dealing with the effects of my ethical dilemma on my own.
i pondered the nature of god and my place in his scheme of things, assuming, childishly, that such a scheme existed.
i prayed.

read this.....freaky!!!!
by crittersitter inthe jehovah's witnesses going crazy?.
the grim discovery of 39 bodies in a san diego mansion highlights sharp similarities between the heaven's gate cult and another sect widely regarded as a mainstream religion.
not far from this death scene stands a similar tile-roofed mansion named beth-shan built by the watchtower organization, better known as jehovah's witnesses.

When things started to "fall off"
by comment ini was thinking about this in several areas today.. 1) district conventions and house-to-house work.
if you were a witness for a long time, you probably remember a time when going to the conventions seemed perfectly "normal" to you: it was absolutely "the thing" to sit in a sports arena all day listening to bible talks and counsel from men in suits.. but at some point, did you ever start to feel like you were participating in a cultural relic, so to speak?.
as in, "here it is, the 1990's, and the society is still using fundamentally the same old format they've been using all century long.

JW's & The Clergy
by Outaservice inafter i left the organization one of the things that surprised me most was the clergy of christendom's view of jehovah's witnesses.
i thought we were the 'center' of their attention, and they not only hated us, but were afraid of all the things we published about them.. nothing could have been farther from the truth!
most ministers hardly knew anything about witnesses.

What Would You Say Is a True Wittness?
by Big Jim indid you ever read in the scriptures where christ told his followers to meet at a certain time to go and witness?.
did you ever hear christ tell his followers to count there time?.
better yet did christ ever have regular meetings to attend?.

Turning the Tables
by joelbear inno conclusions, just thoughts.. should we disfellowship all of our friends and family who are jehovah's witnesses in order to protect ourselves and in order to wake them up to see how dangerous a path they are on?.
would like to see a discussion of this.. thanks.
