I distinctly remember the WT stating that there were plenty of organisations dedicating themselves to ditributing food, shelter and clothing to people who need them but no-one dispensing life saving spiritual food!

What's the word?
by bagpuss inif you could sum up your time in the borg with just one word, what would it be and why?.
for me it would be guilt.
guilt about not doing enough ministry, not enough study, doing too much secular work, the list seems endless.on the odd occasions i felt i'd done quite well you can bet we'd have a talk saying more, more more!.

The ice cold beer is evaporating in the glass here. The warm Central Otago breeze is ruffling my blonde locks and I'm going to have to strip to my shorts just to cope. What I would give for a bit of snow so I can go inside and snuggle up in bed.

Is there any hope of you coming back to Jehovah?
by LeftBehind inmy brother is a self proclaimed apostate.
i see now that there is a wide variety of posters here.
so to those that have left the witnesses what would it take to get you back?

leftbehind.I was a complete failure as a witness. I worked so hard and It was never enough.Suicide seemed the only way I was going to make the new system. I have been a psych patient for nearly 12 years. Not one witness has enquired about me for me.I accept imperfection from people but the fruitage of the spirit was not coming from the congregations I was in.Subtle criticism nearly destroyed me.
I am pleased though, that you have been concerned enough to post here. -

Maybe the mighty Sex Dwarf will get Larry Graham in to do a bit of bass 'slap'on a few of the choicest kingdom songs.Patti Smith could do a duet or something with him.Who else?Hey this could be exciting I might start going back to meetings....

Welcome bayrhino, you sound like a man who is passionate about what you do and believe. To be brought up in the truth and to have been thinking hard about what you believe is not common.I think subtlety with your wife and children is the key. With your insight into how the organisation works I think you know that she will have to come to her decision in her time.Just feed little bits of information lightly and good naturedly.Continue loving your family as you are. They may be all you have for the time being.Post here again very soon.Keep learning.Thoughts with you.Pete
