I haven't discovered my super powers yet, I don't think.
I'm pretty sure your ability to approach the wild "NorCal Dreaded Glass Blower" in it's native environment counts as a super power hun
my super power is that i can size people up rather quickly.
i also am the one even people i hardly know come to for advice because i can usually figure out exactly what to do in any difficult situation.. .
i like my super power.

Thanks Av, I didn't do the full background check on the original artist portion (most was actually memory) I will look up the versions you posted.
Here's a couple more.
Apocalyptica
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" - Metallica
"Refuse/Resist" - Sepultura
"From Out of Nowhere" - Faith No More
Blackest Album (An Industrial Tribute to Metallica)I'll list the covering band since these are all Metallica tunes.
"For Whom The Bell Tolls" - Spew
"Damage Incorporated" - Razed In Black

I have a super schnoze. I can smell anything before anyone else. This is sometimes a blessing (gas leak) and a curse (god awful smells linger longer for me.)
And I have the opposite, due to sinus issues growing up I have a very weak sense of smell which pays off quite frequently as well
super fast healing
I do heal rather quickly as well, which enables me to fall down alot, get tattoos and piercings
i don't feel comfortable living as an atheist.
i believe the world is far to complex and humans are too incredible to have just occurred.
therefore, if i was to attend a church, which one should i consider?
Check out the Unitarians.
I'm with GGBG on this one. The Unitarian Universalist Church was the only one I felt comfortable in (comfortable meaning I wasn't waiting to burst into flame or be struck by lightening). What I liked about it (or the one here anyway) was that they were very open minded and accepting. After previous experiences with other churches (Catholic etc for friends life events) I refused to dress up or conform in any way. I rode my motorcycle to the service and walked in wearing a thrashed out flannel, all of my facial piercings, a windblown goatee and my most aloof look. They welcomed me in a friendly (but not overly friendly) manner and showed me around. The really refreshing part for me was that the explored a wide variety of belief structures withoutmaking me feel preached to. The first "sermon" was about Fred Rogers (ie Mr Rogers of TV fame) and what a cool human he was. This was followed by a readings from contemporary authors as well as the Tao Te Ching. While I do not attend (I'd rather have the sleep) I appreciated that they explored so many possibilities without promoting any one over another. The local group also had a Pagan group within it which I found particularly interesting. My recommendation for this particular group is based on the fact that you're encouraged to think for yourself and chose your own path. It would be a good way to have the church type community while being encouraged to explore all of the possibilities available.

I have the power to broadcast a "don't fucking talk to me" circle with about a 10' radius. It comes in handy for panhandlers, environmentalists/signature collectors, sales folks and preachers
I claim this one as it truly does exist and has been commented on by my friends, this came up in convo the other day and my friend Mandy said "You do! I've witnessed in action". (I'm really not scary, I promise)
Please forgive the lack of Youtube links, I have filtered internet at work and can't access the site
Marilyn Manson Covers
"I Put A Spell On You" - Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)" - Eurythmics
"Personal Jesus" - Depeche Mode
"Tainted Love" - Soft Cell
In general, these are all songs I loved by the original artists, but the Manson covers have a little extra something that I feel improves the songs.
Kittie Cover
"Run Like Hell" - Pink Floyd
Metallica Covers
"Last Caress" - Misfits
"Stone Cold Crazy" - Queen
Guns N Roses Covers
"Hair of the Dog" - Nazareth
"Live & Let Die" - Paul McCartney and Wings
for me, it was a combination of things over a long period of time.
.
how about you?
When I started my fade, I told my parents I wouldn't be att4nding meetings any longer as I wasn't living the lifestyle and felt it would be hypocritical to do so. They looked at me and basically told me to fake it and go anyway.
i hated mine.. long story.. don't ask.. just glad it's over and glad stores are open again.
.
i always feel isolated and 'insecure' when civilization has ground to a halt because of a holiday.. i'm just ranting, need the stress relief.. hope your holidays were alot better than mine.. i am not looking for pity here, just needed to rant, thanks for listening.. .
Yes & No
Yes's - xmas music, bell ringers, fake santa's, fake people, crowded stores, closed stores, etc all give me nervous tick and make me want to break people/things.
No's - I got to rediscover family as well as realize the value of some of my friends. I like giving and recieving things and got to eat better than average.
My xmas started out a bit lonely on Monday afternoon and I was a bit mopey and out of sorts, by last night I had a much different outlook. So it wasn't too bad despite my Scroogelike approach to the whole holiday.
Eclipse, I'm sorry to hear yours sucked. I hope future xmas experiences are better for ya. Pleas accept an early New Years smooch!
Since fall of '95, so 12 years
