  How old were you when you left the Watchtower - SURVEY

  i believe that the older you are the harder it is to leave the watchtower.. .

  i am attempting to get a list of ages people learnt the "truth" and what age they left.. .

  Also, I think how hard it is to leave has more to do with how old you were when you left. I think it has to do with how indoctrinated you are. I was homeschooled for most of my childhood, my father was an elder, my mother was a pioneer for a lot of my childhood, ALL of my family were witnesses, and needless to say, I was pretty indoctrinated. It was VERY hard to leave.

  looks like the borg spent all it's money on hd panels, gigabit internet connections and ipads cause this is by far the lamest and most stupid drama ever in the history of the org!.

  apart from the worse than porn-without-the-porn acting and dialogue, the special effects consist of square painted panels and a crappy blue screen.

  also the lighting looks like it was made using flashlights.. even the die hards we're laughing at it and mentioned how silly it looked.. i envy all of those that aren't attending this "historic 100-years-since-christ's-reign" convention.. .

  My family is at the KC Convention, too. I think it's hilarious how all the JWs are posting pictures and chatting back and forth on instagram throughout the whole thing. In my mind I am imagining all 14,000 of them with their phones in their hand thumbing it to death.

  It really is interesting to look at the evolution of the Watchtower leadership over the years. While Russell was a complete whack-job and self absorbed with his own brilliantness, his successors make him look like a humble Job, in comparison.

  1976 is when one was first formed under Knorr. Before that, JWs were ruled by a president and board of directors. The president had full say over doctrine.

  What are the consequences if a JW files for an unscriptural divorce?

  in january my wife separated from me, because she views me as an apostate (to make the story short).. at that time the elders explained to us, that the bible doesn't approve of such a separation.

  i heard from my mother in law, that my wife finally wants to divorce.

  (when i think of how my wife treated me the last year i actually want a divorce too).. now my question to you:.

  My mother remarried a JW for a short 3 years, then divorced due to emotional abuse. She talked to the elders first, who, according to her, gave her the okay. The divorced and neither one had any restrictions that I know of. Both are still witneses, going to different congregations.
