yesterday i saw a couple of witnesses from my local kingdom hall offering out tracts right outside of a church, i knew i had to walk passed them and i didn't want to give them the satisfaction of ignoring me, so just to spite/shock them i walked straight into the church, stayed there for a few minutes then walked back out again.. has anyone ever done anything ridiculous or childish just to annoy them?

I think I used to annoy them more when I was still one of them. Most of the elders at my kh didn't like my attitude and made no secret of the fact that they wished I'd move to another cong, and there were times I thought about doing so before I left altogether, but I stayed in the same cong because I knew they didn't like me being there. I haven't gone out of my way to annoy them since I left, theyr'e not worth the effort

es needs a thread...i've noticed she's been in the dumps and seems to think no one really notices.

well, time for that crap to stop.. you need to know you make a difference, just by putting in your two cents on any given subject here you make me crack a little grin, and i know i''m not the only one.

to say no one really notices is to berate the contribution you make as well as so many others.

a few weeks ago i posted about having some difficulty with my swim training for an upcoming triathlon.

well, i finally was able to overcome it and the swim clicked with me last week.

i was able to swim across the lake and back without panicking twice last week.

Good post Met, I have to agree with you. Sadly, I see very little chance of further changes in wt doctrine anytime soon. As long as the gb can maintain control over the lives of their flock, why would a few members sacrificing their lives by refusing blood bother them, as long as they don't have to sacrifice their comfortable lifestyle?

Trouble for Richie?

so today, after the meeting, one of the elders from my jc walks up to me and my mother and asks if we had time to talk.

thankfully, i had to get to work, and mom wasn't feeling great.

we said today wasn't good.. so basiccally he said that he and another brother want to meet with us on wednsday night, after the tms, to "see how things are going".. so here's quandry:.

Could he truthfully say that they just wanted to check up on things and then spring something on me? Wouldn't that be dishonest? Yes it would be dishonest, but don't be surprised if they do spring something on you. I can't speak for your cong, but the elders in my former cong used that tactic on me often enough. Anyway, whatever happens, stand your ground, and good luck mate.
