Perhaps I'm alone in thinking this,
but I resent the happiness that those 'brothers' are getting from this sort of thing.
found this video of the entertainment preperation for the delegates in atlanta, u.s. this seems to be professionally done maybe outside sources or probably done by "professional" jw's.
this is just like christendom or all the other religious organizations that they deem to be from the devil.
the people seem to be very sincere in there efforts & is much appreciated,.

it is amazing to look back at three years and see the journey that we have taken.
i went from being an elder to fading completely in the course of those three years.
along the way i am happy to say that my lovely wife woke up and realized that the truth is nothing but a lie.
I agree pretty much with everything you've observed.
My advice too is,
Just stop going.
No one, apart from maybe immediate family, will be bothered in the slightest, that after a lifetime of attending, you decide to stop.
Then you try and get on with the remainder of your life.
I believe that if more people did that, then more would follow.
one thing i would like to say is will the union jack be changed because the scottish flag is incorpreted in it.
if the union jack is changed will we change our australian flag because the union jack is in our flag?
even hawawi has the union jack also fiji and many other commonwealth countries.. .
I've gotten used to the fact that we are one united kingdom. I would be sorry to see that split up.
Just little things like hearing the weather report from the BBC telling me about the weather in Scotland.
If Scotland goes the way of a separate independent nation then I don't expect to hear any more about the place than I do about the Republic of Ireland.
i.e. Nothing.
this is my first time posting here, although i have been a visitor to it for around a year.
after doing a simple google search under "jehovah'switnesses" over a year ago, i found ttat.
i was deeply unhappy with the congregation and decided to educate myself, and boy what an education i have gotten so far.
Yes, probably the best DA letter I've read on here.
Congratulations.
http://whyevolutionistrue.wordpress.com/2014/09/01/a-jehovahs-witness-criticizes-me-for-criticizing-their-policy-on-blood-transfusions/ apologies for rubbish formatting - posting from phone.
if someone could make that link clickable i'd be very grateful.
I've never understood the whole 'it's safer from a physical/medical stance' point of view that some witnesses take up.
It doesn't matter whether it was 100% safe or 100% fatal whether you do or don't have a blood transfusion.
Obedience is all that matters.
Once, at the Watchtower study, the subject of Uzzah and touching the Ark was being discussed. Brothers ended up character assasinating Uzzah to salve their conundrum that he may have had good intentions in stopping the ark falling.
All that mattered though was that God said,
''Don't touch it or I'll kill you. I'm not interested in whether your heart is in the right place or whether you're a right bastard. I said, don't touch.''
''Don't have blood or I'll kill you. I'm not interested in whether it's safer from a medical perspective or not. I said, don't have blood.''
i first posted here on 3rd june 2008. at the time i was an elder, appointed the previous october, i was 36 and i was a born-in.
at the time i'd become disillusioned with the society due to the governing body's letter explaining why the book study in private homes was being abolished.
april 2008 saw me start questioning this decision, privately of course, and this eventually led me to this site, to jwfacts and to many youtube videos, all of which began to errode my faith in the leaders of the organisation.. in july 2008, having discussed my doubts with my wife, i attended the district convention, deciding to give the society one last chance to convince me it was the truth.
Glad to hear your story.
I remember some of your postings when you were going through your born again phase and I
have to admit I don't feel comfortable with people who are born agains.
Welcome to reality (for me at least)

The shame brought on Jehovah's name and his organization is such a bad witness.
Oh, and the girl? Yes, I forgot about her.

watchtower 1st february 1952 page 79.. god interprets and teaches, through christ the chief servant, who in turn uses sam, geoff, steve, gerrit, tony, mark and dave as the visible channel, the visible theocratic organization.. king david approached god through the priestly organization represented by abiathar, who had the ephod; and a servant of today must likewise look to sam and geoff etc (that's us by the way) for spiritual food that is timely and for directions in kingdom service.. you lot must show your understanding in these matters, appreciating your relationship to us, remembering the fate of those like korah and achan and saul and uzziah and others who forgot the theocratic order.. are you assigned as individuals to bring forth the food for the spiritual table?
no?
then don't try to take over our duties.. you should eat and digest and assimilate what is set before you, without shying away from parts of the food because it may not suit the fancy of your mental taste.. the truths you are to publish are the ones provided through sam, geoff and the rest of us, not some personal opinions contrary to what we have provided as timely food.. jehovah and christ direct and correct us as needed, not you as individuals.. if you do not see a point at first you should keep trying to grasp it, rather than opposing and rejecting it and presumptuously taking the position that you are more likely to be right than gerrit or tony.. you should meekly go along with us and wait for further clarification, rather than balk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to you and proceed to quibble and mouth your criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than our provision of spiritual food.. theocratic ones will appreciate us and not be so foolish as to pit against jehovahs channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings..
God interprets and teaches, through Christ the Chief Servant, who in turn uses the discreet slave as the visible channel, the visible theocratic organization.
David approached God through the priestly organization represented by Abiathar, who had the ephod; and a servant of today must likewise look to God’s visible organization for spiritual food that is timely and for directions in Kingdom service.
11 We must show our understanding in these matters, appreciating our relationship to the visible theocratic organization, remembering the fate of those like Korah and Achan and Saul and Uzziah and others who forgot the theocratic order.
Are we assigned as individuals to bring forth the food for the spiritual table? No? Then let us not try to take over the slave’s duties.
We should eat and digest and assimilate what is set before us, without shying away from parts of the food because it may not suit the fancy of our mental taste.
The truths we are to publish are the ones provided through the discreet-slave organization, not some personal opinions contrary to what the slave has provided as timely food.
Jehovah and Christ direct and correct the slave as needed, not we as individuals.
If we do not see a point at first we should keep trying to grasp it, rather than opposing and rejecting it and presumptuously taking the position that we are more likely to be right than the discreet slave.
We should meekly go along with the Lord’s theocratic organization and wait for further clarification, rather than balk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to us and proceed to quibble and mouth our criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than the slave’s provision of spiritual food.
Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord’s visible organization and not be so foolish as to pit against Jehovah’s channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings.
