  Yes, I would make sure you are on the cong's do not call list, but if your phone number is in a public directory, there is not much you can do about people calling you. She seems like an over-zealous person trying to help. I would ignore the call.

  Hair Removal

  have any of you had hair removal?

  laser, shaving, tweezing, waxing, threading, etc .

  hair removal for nose, butt, breast, ears, private regions....and whatever else.

  OMG that was hilarious!

  I had electrolysis done on my bikini area. You can get a prescription of Emla, which is a topical anesthetic which is supposed to numb you a bit, but it still hurt. My bikini area is thinner, but I never finished the sessions. For some reason, when I was near PMS time, I felt like I would come out of my skin while they did it. And it was a bit costly. If I found something that did it permanently, I might consider it.

  Is it crazy at the gas pumps in your State?

  me and the kids went to rent movies and noticed that there were long lines of people waiting for gas.

  we live in shreveport/bossier louisiana about five hours north of new orleans.

  we do have tons of evacuees here and so i understand it is going to be busier here than usual.. people were breaking lines to get gas tonite, and you could feel the tension in the air.

  There was a news report that prices would climb 12-15 cents/gallon because of the disruption of oil production in the Gulf. I'm afriad it is going to get worse.

  On the other hand, many people in the area have other things to worry about than gas in their cars......

  My Dad Isn't There Anymore

  it really struck me last night that my dad is pretty much gone.

  he has advanced alzheimers, and is slowly dying of kidney failure from 40 years of diabetes.

  the family stepped in and said no to dialysis, because it would be 5 hours per day 3 days per week - minimum, for limited return on quality of life.

  Just Got Home From the Hospital

  i have to take it easy for two weeks or a little longer.

  who would like to add their murphy's law here.. i'll start.

  put your brand new car in your parents garage, so that it will stay clean, but when you come back and look at the car in the morning, there's bird sh*t on it.

  yeah, a stupid bird was trapped in the garage all night, and the damn thing sh*t on my brand new car..

  My hubby almost had it last night. He pitched a tent in the back yard for him and my 5 year old to camp in, he didn't want to waste time putting on the fly tent. I said let's just do it, it's a new tent, and we can see how it all works. Good thing! It started raining last night, and they were dry! They stayed out the whole night!
