That flow chart reminds me of how Witnesses operate door to door...

If you say you believe in God, they go the next step

If you say you don't, they find a way to trap you with another reasoning.

and so on, until you're baptized

Great! I love it. My hubby's telescript is much shorter.

He: helllewww (insanely high-pitched nutjar hello).

    Telemarketer: (hang up)

Well, isn't that more-or-less what JWs are? People who make nuisance calls to your home when you are trying to get something else done at times that are terribly inconvenient?

    Classic sales technique. lol!

I just tell them I am very busy atm, and could I have their home phone number to call them back? They are usually quite shocked and say "I couldn't give you my home number!", to which I reply innocently, "Why not, you're calling me at home?"

I've started playing with their minds...

Usually, the phones are 'dialed' with a computer... and there is a delay between when the tele-marketer is 'connected' and says, "Hello".

So - whan I answer the phone and say, "Hello?" there can be several seconds go by before they are connected, and start their schpeil.

I keep saying, "Hello?" "Hello?" "Hello?"

After they get connected, they start by saying, "Hello."

    Me - "Hello?" "Hello?"

Them - "Hello? Can you hear me?"

    Me - "Hello?" "Hello?"

I usually quit after a few times - as they start to get frustrated rather easily. I also do not raise my tone any, but rather keep it even-toned. This also gets to them.

    Regards,

Jim TX - of the 'Hello?' class

I ask they to hold on a minute, then put down the phone and go about doing what I was doing previously, usually eating supper. I go back in an hour or two and they're gone.

I remember one time at a da they were talking about witnessing to telemarketers and salesmen...

    Well,

    I tried it.

    It works.

They can't get off the phone fast enough.

I suppose now, you could just ask them if they've accepted Jesus as their Saviour. (no offense to Christians intended)

Now, I don't get any more calls.
