I'm not that important to Jehovah? Well, damn. Now I see the WBTS stance.
by easyreader1970 inlast night during the bible highlights, the brother (an insane and extreme zealot of an elder) said that people cannot expect jehovah to communicate with his servants directly anymore.
not because it wasn't part of his plan, nor because he has the all powerful and all knowing governing body in place, but because we really just aren't that important.
not important enough to warrant one one one communication.

The scripture used by tec I realize is as so many scriptures somewhat loaded. But I recently have had the notion that if taken on face value it can be somewhat of a let down. If you take some time to observe sparrows or others of our feathered friends, is that scripture really comfortling. Birds of this variety (small birds that are not of the raptor variety) must be constantly vigilant. If you observe a small bird you will see that they are always aware of danger. If eating they take a few pecks and look up, a few pecks and look up. They give the appearance of being constantly aware of danger. And rightly so, because even with that constant concern many end up as food for others. So much for the endearment of that scripture.

Does the Watchtower contain photo's of the Devil
by jwfacts ini have not been able to find any photo's of satan the devil in the watchtower.
there are photo's of the serpent with eve, satan's hand offering kingdoms to jesus and a shadowy cloaked figure speaking to jesus on the mountain.
apart from that i cannot locate any of a proper looking devil.

What are the names of the current GB members? Do the R&F know the Names?
by Momma-Tossed-Me ini never knew who was controlling my life.
i didn't know who they were, how they governed, what they personally believed etc.. granted the wtbts never put any of that out there but there are people who knew them and would of course relate "experiences" of meeting them and from that you could derive certain aspects of their personality.. i never thought to investigate the leadership until i started asking questions.. so how many are there now and what are their names?
i would like to ask my family if they can name them by heart.

The more I look at the picture the more it amazes me that they all look a bit off normal. We tend I think to form in our mind what normal or average looks like and these guys to me are outside that box.

Some time before my "awaking" I met a sister from my congregation who struggled with meeting attendance and such. However I understood because she didn't have the greatest support from her husband and had three children to get ready and so on. But when she said that JW's are the most judgemental people on the planet it really bothered me. Her comment came from the way she was treated because of being on the fringes of the congregation because of her level of activitly. I ended up hearing a similar sentiment from a few others who struggled for various reasons and admittedly were looked upon with some negativity. And now that I have had the opportunity to be treated in a similar way I have come to feel the same. I can fully agree with that young sister that they are indeed among the most if not the most judgemental people on the planet.

Joliette = I actually thought Oprah did a good job overall. She didn't suck up and asked a couple hard questions. just my opinion.
