Just trying to be nice. You take it for what its worth. I only visit a couple of sites, and this is one of them. Contrary to what people say, I still have a heart. At this point I have so much stuff, its a moot point to advocate others try likewise while thinking it affects me. It is coming, deal with it the best you can... humanity still means that we are human to some extent. It would be remiss of those not to help. I know what you are saying. Some may have motives outside of being helpful... you make a good point though, maybe I should stop caring...

Purity rings are so retarded
by sinis innow i'm not saying that you need to live a promiscuous life, but for the love of all that is natural, a young person should be able to test the waters as long as they are safe in doing so.
looking back at the jw mentality of waiting until you get married only blinds the mind and eyes of both parties involved.
i see this mentality creeping into non jw religions as well, with the "purity ring" concept.

i am a 27 yo girl, i converted into a jw @ 20, at was going thru a difficult time in my life and they bastards sucked me in!!!
i did not realize how controlling things were going to get... about 1 year into my study i moved w another single sister and then baptize, looking back i think i went thru w baptism because i fell pressure by the "loving" congregation that wanted the best for me... i remember coming out of the pool and one of the brothers saying "another victim" and taking a pic of me... anyways, that wasn't the worst of it.... remember single female!!

I think a person would be in a more favorable mind set having experienced sex, and all that goes with it, when truly finding someone to live and love with - sex becomes a back seat point since you would have done that been there type of thing.

It would not be that difficult to do. Don't think for a moment that they are not tracking WHO goes to their site (including but not limited to IP, ISP, location, lat-long, etc) and from WHICH browser or SITE the user "Came From". It would take all of 10 minutes to create such a program... and no software in the world would detect it since its server side.

Conversation I overheard this morning...
by Morbidzbaby inso this morning i decided to go see if i could find some interesting used books for my flight in a couple of weeks and i saw a jw from one of the local congregations...she didn't see me, even though she was directly behind me looking at the same section of books.
i'm not exactly easy to miss, but i digress.. she was on the phone and was talking about a few things that i found incredibly interesting.
firstly, i guess a woman that just got baptized last year is absolutely fed up with the org!

Perhaps the original definition needs to be looked at, after all it was written by men who may not have been familiar with the "technology" at use. This is no different than going back in time 10,000 years with something as simple as a Bic lighter - you would be the "God of Fire" for which an entire mythos would spring forth. Lets say that the "demons" or "angels" of past times were nothing more than a race of peoples, who had good and bad among them. They had the technology to jump in and out of dimensions. They had the technology to read minds, or control peoples thoughts. Stories would appear, but "less" the technological aspects as primative man could not comprehend it. Its not even that far fetched as the things mentioned are being explored today. This is nothing more than the case of the Spaniards arriving in the new world and the natives believing they were gods and orally communicating how man/beast creatures existed - horse and rider, because they had NEVER seen a horse before. Its much the same way as the word "computer", for which many cultures do not have a word for in their language and simply use "computer" in their own tongue.
