  Was there really a specific request for money in this week's meeting?

  i have seen a few comments about this week's meeting.. was there actually a part that specified an actual per-publisher amount that should be donated regularly?.

  can this be confirmed please?.

  i truly cant believe just how brazen the society seems to be getting - and how desperate they are!.

  "Use your God-given thinking abilities and power of reason to make the truth your own."--

  If a jw did that wouldn't that be grounds for getting df'd? Say they decided to forgo the overlapping generation doctrine, making the 'truth' their own' and refused to teach it at the doors or actually said they didn't agree with it in front of a door and another jw. I think they would find themselves in the back room pretty quickly.

  Every jw knows that if they make it the truth their own they will be out on their ass and lose their friends and family.

  Can you give us a bit more info? Some here, like me, refuse to click on anything from the org. I refuse to give them anymore standing than they already get from google. Yeah, I know, makes no difference, just my personal stand against the org.

  tired of listening to your local elders giving the "special" talk ever year after the memorial?

  well don't worry, as of next year we will be spicing things up for your enjoyment.. not only will we be having the talk before the memorial (i know, wild huh), but we will be treating you to the talk via video starring our famous speakers from bethel so you can see how a talk should be given (after all bethel does boast the best speakers in any country, right?!).

  Do you think at one time they will eliminate all speakers and the meeting will consist of just watching videos from the gb? essentially they will all get together at a kh to watch tv together and the elders will just be for df-ing and paperwork?

  What do current jw's say about the above scripture (Romans 13)? I have brought it up to my jw in years past but he either changed the subject or brought up Hitler, etc... he seemed to dismiss this scripture. Maybe it reads differently in a jw "bible"?

  i was chatting with my very jw pioneer mother (aged 65) and out of the blue she tells me she is sore from a particular pose she did in yoga class.

  I know a jw who does yoga videos but will only call it 'stretching'. I say nothing, anytime I know they are going against dub policy is fine by me.

  Why do you allow your children around this toxic person? Please protect your children from such emotional abuse. As you know they will carry any emotional, physical and spiritual abuse with them their entire life.

  the dub at my door ___________________i’d rather have a root canal than agree to a sit down with an active jehovah’s witness.i’m an ex-jw.

  for good reason.

  fool me once....i’m an activist and an author of a book or two exposing and vilifying the destructive jw cult organization.yet i agreed.
