.....another Watchtower contradiction.
by gumby infar be it from the jehovah's witnesses to talk out of both sides of their mouth.. far be it from jehovah's witnesses to doublespeak.. below is a perfect example of how gods chosen channel of truth has evidently forgotten what they previously stated in the "watchtower" which is their gods own publication for dispensing bible based truths to mankind.. .
"at times explanations given by jehovah's visible organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view.
but this has not actually been the case.

It wish I'd recognised these contradictions sooner. Maybe if I'd really studied the Watchtower articles and the KMs and the books, I would have seen how often they do this. But I didn't really study. I read their junk so that I could highlight the expected answers in order to confidently regurgitate their slop at the meetings and gain approval of the rest of the ruminating herd.
It wasn't until years later, when I was trying to figure out why nothing in my life had turned out very well by following the Society's wonderful directions and when I was noticing that the happiest JWs were the ones who paid lip service to the WTS but made their own decisions about how they lived their lives, that I realized how full of shit the religion was.
Truth is truth...if you have to go back and tweak it, tack around it, or if the explanation becomes something else entirely, then it wasn't truth to begin with.

Sending them back to Brooklyn with a copy of her video is cool...but she should cut them in half first so they can't reuse them.

my cat died today... i need consoling...
by theinfamousone inthis is the guy that sat on my razor blades the one time i was thinking of cutting myself... this is the guy that everytime my dad beat me, would come to my room and lay with me... this is the guy that one time jumped into the bathtub with me while i was crying after a brutal beating, the cat hated water... this is a cat that was more family to me than my own father and mother combined... this was my best friend... .
today i had to do the hardest thing i ever did, i had to choose to have him put down... and as he fought the vet, and tried to bite her, i put my hand on his head, and he stopped struggling... and as they put the last needle into his leg, he purred until he died... the vet says she has never seen that before... this was my best friend and i had to kill him... fuck, im a baby, but i miss him soooo much.
the infamous one.

How soon, is too soon, to remarry after your spouse dies.
by free2beme inhas done so for years, and because of this, i know this elder a little too.
not that we are close friends now, but when we were witnesses in the 1990's, we were friends with him and his wife.
they had three children, all fully grown now, and had been married about thirty years.

I've noticed this on several occassions...where the man loses his wife and then remarries very quickly. A friend of mine died of cancer and her husband was remarried inside of a month. Another friend of mine made a play for a widower who'd come to stay with his son after his wife died...they'd never met until he came up here to visit his son. They courted for a month or so and were married within three months of his wife's death.
At first glance, it does look kind of hasty. I know that the children of the man my friend married weren't too pleased with how quickly he'd found someone to replace their mother. Guess some guys (women too, I'm sure...I just don't happen to know of any that remarried quickly after their husband died) don't want to be alone.

AT 1:26PM FRIDAY OUR DAUGHTER WAS BORN!!!
by Es inwell its all happend, got to the hosp early friday morning, had my waters broken at around 7:30am had to wait for an hour and a half to see if labour would begin naturally, it didnt so at 9am i was hooked up to the drip, man that was intense, put it to you this way, blakes labour was about 8 hours all up kaia's labour was 3 hours and i would rather go through the 8 hour one anyday.. it was a very short labour, kaia was born a bit shocked as it happend so fast so she was rushed up to nursery for a bit as she was purple and not breathing properly but after an hour on oxygen she was fine, me on the other hand had to be stitched up coz pushing a 9 pound 1 baby out naturally with no drugs does damage heheh, then i had to be hooked up to a drip for 4 hours as i lost a bit of blood.
but once we were all sorted it was all good.
she is doing so well we are at home now, she is beautiful and very content.

Suggestions for a cranky, stressed husband....all suggestions welcome.....
by restrangled inmy poor guy is crabbier than hell.
i have kept him well fed, but it doesn't seem to do the trick.
i am calling on all men out there to tell me what to do and i know sex is an answer too, but is there anything in addition to this you guys wish for when work/life is stressing you out?.

restrangled said: Just to add to this, he had free $80.00 tickets to the Nascar races here in Florida tonight.... He left and came back and hour later too tired to make the drive down. I really feel bad....
Is Nascar something he is usually enthusiastic about? I mean, if someone gave me tickets to Nascar or to a play or something that I was only mildly interested in, then it wouldn't be that big a deal if I decided not to go. However, if it was something I was usually very into and I felt "too tired", especially after going to the bother of getting dressed and starting to drive there, then that would be much more worrying and I'd take jeannebeanz suggestion to get him looked at by a doctor very seriously.

Are JWs chronic liars?
by Kristofer init's been about a year since i've been on this board.
and what brought me here was me (a non-jw) seeing a jw girl.
i've been out of this situation for a while now.

JWs are experts at avoiding truth and lying to themselves. The elder I once worked for was a great example of this. He was extremely deceptive and went through all kinds of contortions to adhere to the "letter of the law". He could then tell himself that he wasn't a liar, and would become absolutely irate if anybody accused him of such. However, he had no problem skirting the truth, not answering direct questions, pretending he misunderstood, making up his own definitions of words, etc. He did everything he could to convey a false impression but told himself that if people got the "wrong" idea from his very creative word usage, well, that wasn't his fault, was it?
I know that I could talk myself into being sick so I could miss meetings and have a good excuse. It was relatively easy to drum up a headache or a sore throat or something from sheer stress and unhappiness. Not exactly a lie, but not exactly showing honest desire to attend meetings either.
Then there's the whole theocratic warfare thing...sorry, but that's just lying disguised as something honorable. I guess the end justifies the means. Dubs can lie to those people who they don't deem worthy of hearing the truth in order to further their own aims. Interesting definition of honesty Jehovah's people have.
Not that this makes them worse than everybody else as far as lying, but it sure doesn't make them better.
