OK, fess up. . . has anyone tried internet dating?
by carefully faded ini recently signed up on a couple of internet dating sites.
i've been talking with one guy for about a week now and he's asked to meet for coffee.
i'm a little nervous and wanted to hear how many others have tried this.

I love ribeyes also; I like them grilled outside but I do have a George Forman grill; I like to use some seasoned salt with olive oil and maybe some Greek seasoning and cooked just between medium and rare and I can't do without A1 Steak Sauce........ yeah, it's that important

Im just absolutely floored over this; I always thought people back in the 50s behaved just like they did on those old sit-coms of that time

Do Must Dubs Have Pre-Marital Sex?
by tall penguin init's not often talked about but in my experience a lot of witnesses have sex (or something like it) during their courtship.
and most of them never go to the elders about it.
recent case in point: my dear friend got married this past summer.

When I was an active JW I didn't have premarital sex at any time; I guess I was one of the actual few who lived by their standards even though I wasn't as "spiritual" as some as I couldn't put as many FS hours in as some of the pioneers and ministerial servants who were partying and giving Sunday morning public talks with hangovers.

CoC or ISoCF
by TheListener inwhich of ray's books would you recommend someone read first.
coc does a great job of explaining ray's situation and the results.
while covering some major doctrines along the way.

I would highly recommend getting both of them, however I would read C of C first, which I have. I have In Search of Christian Freedom too but havent really read it from cover to cover yet as I have so many other things to take care of right now but I have read parts of the book. Besides C of C has been revised and updated so the info in that book is slightly more current than In Search of Christian Freedom.

by in a new york bethel minute innow, could you do us all a favour and read the replies to your post in the 607 thread?

Is that what you would say if I was one of your "studies" or "interested ones"? Or would you give me the specific places in the books themselves? I dont mean to come across as being sarcastic when I ask these questions.

KNOW ANY GOOD THOUGHT-PROVOKING MOVIES?
by stillAwitness inwhat movies have you seen go so hand in hand with the wt to the point where you can use its storyline to explain to somebody what it is like being a jw.
i used the movie "the island" with scarlett johnassen to explain it to a workmate.
she completely understood what it is like being a jw it after i made the comparison.
