did they ATTEMPT to save you
by tijkmo inwhen you were before a judicial commitee for whatever reason...did they try to get you to see the error of your ways and thus save you from destruction at the big a...or were they just happy to let you die.. .
i have a theory that goes like this...if you are sorry they think that you are not and df you...if you are not sorry they make an attempt to try and save you because its a kind of feather in their cap.. .
i was sorry...so sorry i thought i deserved to be df...and said that i expected to be..and they later told me i said i wanted to be df...which i didnt..(i was a mental and emotional wreck on the night of the jc although i tried to portray otherwise)....but even if i had, surely they had some responsibiity to try and 'readjust' me.. .

Oh yeah... they kept asking... do you understand why this is such an important issue? Do you know why this bothers us?
I was very not sorry. I didn't walk in there crying, and I was really only sorry I got caught. The brothers actually told me that they were bothered by the fact that I wasn't showing any emotion (looking them in the eye as they talked with a VERY straight face). I told them that I had committed a wrong against Jehovah and he already knew my feelings and it was, in the end, his decision.
THey asked me to leave the room so they could counsel / console my mother and then deliberate. They told me to approach Jehovah in prayer and share my feelings with him and if I did, they said it would influence their decision while they prayed. I walked in the other room, looked at the ceiling... said "Disfellowship me!!" and sat down. When they called me back in, they were like well we feel you are truly repentant and we dont want to DF you because you are a good person.... Blah blah blah
So they put me on Reproof. Then they scheduled another time to talk to me about what I had done et cetera. When we went back for that, Mom was still with me...(Good thing too, otherwise I would have told them off) They told me I had a weak mind for wanting to follow others (I didn't bother to point out the irony that they were trying to scare me with disfellowshipping which is essentially seperating you from others- i mean its what essential to being a part of the org...)
But that was really off topic. Feels good to vent

What is the Real Financial Cost of a Circuit Assembly?
by FairMind inmy congregation along with about thirty others attends circuit assemblies at a facility that is owned by the organization (a converted school).
this building also has a section that serves as a kh for three local congregations.
i have noticed that when the financial reports are read at the assemblies that the expense (which is not detailed) is always around $4,000.

Attendant ever treat you like a child at convention?
by avishai inthe last straw for me was when an attendant grabbed 22 yr. old me at a cnvention and told me to come inside it was time for it to start.
i said no, and he got in my face.
anyone else get told what to do as an adult?

I was holding my now girlfriends hand and leading her to her seat because she was wearing rediculously high sexxxy heels and we had to walk up those steep stairs. The attendent asked why, I explained. He said she could make it on her own. We ignored him. Then walking out, she stepped on his toes with one of those stillettos and i "checked" him with my shoulder, knocking back into the wall.. Oh, the priviledges of serving jah!

I finally did it...
by Hecklerboy ini finally went and did something i've always wanted to do growing up as a witness.
i joined a karate class.. i go for my yellow belt test this weekend.

For about a year now I have been taking lessons in Yawara, a Phillipino fighting style that implores the use of blunt weapons to do damage and to force an opponent into submission. I have a 2nd degree brown belt... But I'm going out for the first degree very soon... And no- its not religous. Not one damn bit.

by Kenneson inianone and others have been spreading their propaganda on this forum and elsewhere on the internet for quite some time that it was not commercial airliners but smaller planes, rockets, or detonations that brought down the world trade center and hit the pentagon.
