CO'S visits are nothing more than a semiannual kiss ass fest performd by the elder body and the pioneers. Nothing more and nothing less, no real support or help to the congregation for the stresses they may be suffering and having to handle. Just do more, and more, and more, and oh by the way do more!

some of both, I have been told I am an extroverted introvert. (i.e. I have that don't mess around with me look or so its been said on numerous times, even my childrens friends have told them, I scare the hell out of them) Must be true because i don't like talking to people much, especially those at the kingdumb hall. As I know they are all conditional type "friends."

Minnesotans...Are These Kids J-Dubs?
by XJW4EVR in3 suspended for not standing for pledge of allegiance3 suspended for not standing for pledge of allegianceby paul walsh, star tribune .
may 9, 2008. three small-town eighth-graders in minnesota were suspended by their principal for not standing thursday morning for the pledge of allegiance, violating a district policy that the principal now says may soon be reworded to protect free speech rights.. "my son wasn't being defiant against america," said kim dahl, mother of one of the students, brandt, who attends dilworth-glyndon-felton junior high school in northwestern minnesota.
brandt told the forum newspaper in fargo that thursday's one-day in-school suspension, "was kind of dumb because i didn't do anything wrong.

coming announcement!
by buffalosrfree inthe much looked for (or so it seems) announcement coming to the finale of a watchtower study near you, may just be the thing about the book study and if so due to the time of year it is (at least in the northern hemisphere) it would make a fine opportunity for one and all in the congregation to meet say 6-6:30pm to participate in the field circus.
that way more people would be a home and therefore there would be more people to (irritate) talk to.
who knows, whatever it is, if it is in fact a change, it won't be for the betterment of the rank and file publisher.

speculation on the upcoming announcement!
by buffalosrfree inhas anyone considered that they may join the bs/theo/svc mtgs so that the congregation can have a congregational service night together and cover more territories now that most people are home (that way we can irritate more of them) and have more opportunities to spread the bad (oops i mean good) news it is certainly a possibility, especailly considering the marked increase in acceptance of obedience to the fds (i.e.
9 angry men in bethel the gb) it sure makes me wonder.
i can care less as i am inconsistent in my ministry and don't care if they like it or not.

Next big announcement: All Circuirt Overseers Sacked!
by slimboyfat inso what is the ending of the congregation book study really all about?
surely the biggest winner in this new arrangement is the circuit overseer.
now he only has to take two meetings during his visit and will only "work" from thursday to sunday.

If in fact a change of some kind is going to take place, it may have to do with a lot of bro's and sis's biting the bullet so to speak, the dub only watchtowers have been stressing kissing ass (Oh I mean obedience to to GB) and being faithful and let us do your thinking for your type of nonsense. And unfortuanately the rank and file are eating it up and are moring than willing to swallow more discipline.

having seen the comments on the VA i am somewhat surprised or am going to the "one" va hospital that actually cares about its patients. I have never had to wait long, 30 minutes at most, they have always been very polite and helpful, don't know where you are getting your info but in my experiences in three different states it has always been very good, even better than going to the on base hospitals. If you know of the bad ones by all means tell us and us veterans who use these hospitals will avoid the bad ones if possible, As far as the homeless, well some can't take it and they do need help, i made up my mind that my experiences in a war zone would never overly affect my life 10 years down the line and it never has (knock on wood).

Emotional Reactions to the Loss of the Book Study
by DT ini think the loss of the book study will hit some like a death of a friend.
it will mark the end of an era.
it will forever change the religion of jehovah's witnesses and i believe the change is completely irreversible.. of course, most witnesses will be delighted by this.

sacolton, you are too funny jump s**t, man that says it all. We don't know what the announcement will be, and quite frankly I could give a crap less. One poster pointed out the the Book Studies don't do anything together other than an occasional treat night, big deal. If they really were your brothers and sisters they would all be participating in something together ( and I don't mean field service), i.e. picnic, fishing, camping, outings something but it just doesn't happen and if it did if would be discouraged. we just have to wait and see what if anything worthwile will be said.

that tree will be used by creationist to show that trees can live under water that has been sickened by salt water, and by gooly gee can live over a year under that water and when the water subsides, it will have leaves. More WTBTS scientific nonsense propagated by the GB .
