  the now-famous mum of brain tumour boy ashya king hit the headlines here in milton keynes when she was pregnant with him, the citizen can exclusively reveal.. determined nagmeh king donned a placard over her six- month bump and paraded the streets in a bikini during a battle with a private school five years ago.. she and her husband, who braved arrest to get the right treatment for ashya, lived next door to the grove independent school on redland drive, loughton, for several years, and were prominent members of the citys jehovahs witness community.. a war of words involving lawyers, council official and even police erupted when the school chopped down a boundary hedge, which the kings insisted was theirs.. the row had rumbled on for five years without any resolution until 2009, when then-mum-of-five mrs king took matters into her own hands.. i have walked outside the school with my placards between 8am and 9am every morning, she told the citizen at the time.. im not protesting im just spreading the word as a jehovahs witness should.. other parents complained as she mounted one protest dressed only in her underwear.

  but mrs king insisted she was wearing a bikini.. its not shameful or wrong to wear a bikini when youre pregnant, she said.. a neighbour said: it is a crazy sight a half naked pregnant woman protesting outside a private school.. the kings, who described themselves as missionaries at the time, became even angrier when they replaced the hedge with a fence and the school removed it, saying it was on their land.. the family was accused of dumping rotting rubbish on the disputed boundary line, hanging washing outside the window of school head deborah berkin, and playing loud music during school hours.. milton keynes council confirmed it had been called out several times by the school over dumping, while environmental health officials were monitoring the music levels.. mrs king vowed she would continue to fight, saying: the school had no right to take away our privacy.. three months later little ashya was born.. today jehovahs witnesses across the city are remembering the family fondly and praying for ashyas treatment to be a success.. meanwhile neighbours who once watched mrs kings bikini protests are full of admiration for her courage in defying the nhs.. one said: she is a woman not scared of doing battle.

  I wish these people would get their child the proper medical care ASAP.

  i saw an online post with pictures of all the witnessing carts all around the 9/11 site during the anniversary of the tragedy.... im appalled at how opportunistic they are, and how they prey on people in a mourning and vulnerable state!.

  apparantly they boast of: "there are 65 carts, with 200 witnesses manning the area... and so far 15 new studies started!".

  What could that be...hmm...ooh..I've got it! Let's remember that Bethel locked their gates during the attacks rather than being a place of refuge for people seeking safety. The House of God locked its doors when its neighbors needed basic safety.

  On the 1-yr anniversary, some evangelical group was there putting stickers on people's chests w/o asking. There was a group of foreign tourists taking pics, smiling broadly with the hole in the background, as if it was Niagara Falls.

  Lots of people are totally tasteless, I guess. dubs are certainly not nicer than the rest of humanity, as they claim.

  an atheist airman is being denied the ability to re-enlist in the us air force because he refuses to use the word god in his oath of office, according to the american humanist association (aha).. the unnamed member of the air force refused to take the oath containing so help me god, wanting a secular affirmation instead.

  so he crossed out the phrase on his contract.

  the airman was told by his superiors that he must swear to god or leave the air force, the aha said in a press release.

  just interested in experiences any of you have had working for other witnesses or companies owned by witnesses.

  i heard mutterings occassionally from other witnesses they would never work for another witness.

  regardless of anything i said, the owner was adamant in his refusal to believe i had ever done anything more than being a delivery driver.

  A very long time ago, yes. I got hired to be in sales and run the office. They asked me if I was dfd in the interview and said point blank they would not hire me if I was.

  They weren't paying me the commission I earned--kept saying they would once they got caught up on their bills--so I was totally poor. I won a bunch of food from a vendor in a contest--I won it, not their company. The owner's daughter called the vendor to change the delivery date to my day off. I called the vendor to let them know the delivery didn't show up and they told me what happened. I confronted the owner (Elder) and he said they had a get-together and fed it all to their jw friends--he felt NO responsibility to compensate me at all.

  Once I went on a business breakfast, in a restaurant, with a male vendor rep and the owners said I was not to be unchaperoned again like that or I would be fired.

  They were HORRIBLE at running their business and it was near closing. So of course they hired a guy who had no skills to be a helper for me. And then they laid me off and kept him. He was a jw. They told me to come in and work for free while receiving Unemployment. I was really young and didn't know I wasn't supposed to, so I did it a few days and then didn't qualify for Unemployment for those days. Screwed again. (Employers are supposed to know this.) That food would have come in handy.

  Never paid me the commission they owed me.

  I think they went belly up.

  every time they change something they say it loud and clear

  Usually they just state the opposite of the previous teaching without saying, "We're changing something." Many examples here--look these up in publications to verify for yourself.

  When did they say loud and clear that they changed these things, for example?

  I've read publications from many decades, and I cannot remember one instance of the wts saying, "Hey, we changed our beliefs." Not once.
