Strange that you should feel so strongly about this, as you have been guilty on numerous occasions of labelling "liberals" anyone who disagrees with your views. Furthermore you seem to have developed a "model" in your own head that typifies what you consider "liberals" to be like and you waste no opportunity is presenting this "model" in all its delusional dimensions repeatedly.
So it seems that you are quite happy with a "model" that identifies "liberal" thinkers, but sneer when such a model is structured for "republican" thinkers, claiming it is to universal to be of any use. Perhaps we should add "blatant hypocrisy" to the model for authoritarian Republican thinkers such as yourself.
Lets face it Forscher, you are the JCanon of politics on this Board, but with half the charm.

Typical Hillary, Don't address my comments on their merits. Make personal charges based on assumed personal biases without even bothering to cite proofs. And stereotype me in a manner which more properly applies to him, as his comments so vividly illustrate.

Most certainly if "hate speech" is criminal, then it should be across the board, including such speech directed at Christians. Otherwise one ends up creating privileged classes based on arbitrary standards and discriminates against a particular class.

Why am I not surprised at Six bringing Right-wing Authoritarian Disorder into the discussion?

Let's see....take a disorder defined by a communist nut-case from the Frankfurt school, based on the personalities of fanatical left-wing fanatics (Hitler, Mussolini, and Ernst Röhm among others, and apply it to those of the opposite political side of the spectrum and draw false conclusions from such a flawed methodology. Great piece of work!

I often find it amusing that despite all of their attempts to refine their definition of the Right-wing Authoritarianism they still can't come up with a model which cannot as easily be applied to folks from the left. Even Hillary Clinton fits the symptomatology quite well. And left-wing idealogues in academia still can't figure out why! I guess they can't let the facts get in the way of rants either.

Judicial Committee actions today vs 30 yrs ago

when i served on jcs in the '70s the majority concerned sexual infractions.

i am only guessing, but i get the impression that today it may be "apostasy" in the majority, or at least running neck and neck with sexual sins.. does anyone have any insight on the current mix of jc matters?

In thirty years with the organization I only knew of one person Df'd for apostasy.

She was an elderly sister not long after "Armageddon" (the 1975 non-event) who'd approached the elders because she didn't want to be a Witness anymore. It seems she'd kind of burned-out in her old age and just didn't have the energy to attend all those five meetings a week and hours of field service to boot and wanted out. She so angered the elders with that they Df'd her for apostasy instead! I guess they were trying to keep the real reason for her leaving from the rank and file, not wanting to admit that anyone could possibly be overwhelmed and burn out from the demands of the bOrg, but word got out anyway.

- what goes on at jw wedding ceremonies?

are they that much different from other christian weddings?.

- At what age are young people considered to be first able to decide whether they get baptised or not? I'll leave this for another person to answer.

Good move. Although the officially stated standard is that a person be "mature enough" to understand and make such a commitment, in practice that is left up to the local elders. So in theory there is no limit on how young and I have heard of kids pretty young getting baptized.

i got my car from an elderly sis from my congo and it only had 52000mi and its a subaru gl-10 wagon '88 it looks just like this.

1963 Rambler.

It had an automatic transmission and a flathead six-cylinder engine, sort of like a tractor engine. It had the crank-down seats (the fellow who showed it to me called it a "young man's car"). The closest picture I can find to what it looks like is a derelict which is actually the same color.

Not exactly Big D. If one kills the chicken just before climax, usually by breaking its neck, the death spasms of the sphincter muscles adds to the sensation felt by the person and intensifies the climax. I got that information many years ago reading an article on deviant sex practices.

I personally believe that Leos should be better trained in some sort of martial art suitable to their trade.

I also believe that they should be required to keep on being trained in it like some countries require of theirs. I think the lack of such a requirement causes Leo's to over-rely on weapons to get the job done. I've noticed in some videos that even with some of those weapons (the police baton based on the tonfa) many Leos don't even seem to know what they are doing in the first place. That over-reliance on weapons which they do not adequately understand the use of results in some of the tragedies we see displayed on the net and newscasts.

As far as I know, this is exactly what we should expect to see according to evolution theory. With bacteria it all happens very quickly because of their fast metabolism.

It always amazes me to see evolutionists take whatever logical evidence can be presented against them and say "oh no, your point really proves evolution to true." What I am going to respectfully point out is that your reasoning may well hold up if what is being discussed is micro-evolution, but it falls apart when you get into macro-evolution. So it doesn't prove the whole enchilada. I don't dispute micro-evolution since it is observable and verifiable. But it doesn't follow that the same can be said for macro-evolution. And nowhere has anybody observed such variation leading to a completely separate and new bacteria. E. coli remain e. coli whether they develop a resistance to antibiotics or not. Nothing new is created since the resistance was there in the first place. Nothing is added which wasn't already there, and nothing significant is truly lost.

for those of you that dont know, iam half choctaw indian, my mom told me an sad, but interesting story the other day, she is jw, and my dad elder, she had her indian boarding school reunion, in oklahoma, and did not want to go, the first i have ever heard of her reunion, in all my life,.

she told me this story, similar stories i have heard from indian relatives, when she was a little girl, about 7 , she had 11 brothers and sisters, she lived on tribal lands in oklahoma, her great grandmother signed the 5 civilized scrolls act in 1907 that said indians would give up there ansterial lands and be relocated to indian territory, oklahoma.our tribe was from louisana.. her older family traveled from louisana, to oklahoma, in the dead of winter, on foot and hungry the whole way, over half the tribe died, sickness and malnourishment set in on the journey, and the military escort was berating them the whole way, the exodus, known to history books tday as the trail of tears.

the soldiers learned the words tish-pa, which means hurry up.. for some time after they made it to indian territory, they were given dispersments of money, they did not use money, and had no real use for it, it stopped shortly thereafter, the site named skully, to this day, which means money, a new word made up for it.. .

My paternal great-grandmother was from among a Cherokee family who managed to escape the Cherokee round-up in 1838.

I even have distant relatives living on the Cherokee reservation in North Carolina. She married a white man from Kentucky and I have several pictures of her from around the time of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. I am told that three of my four great-grandmothers were all native Americans. One Cherokee, one Huron, and the last one Creek.

My wife counts some Apaches among her ancestors, so my son has an interesting heritage. Neither of us have much in the way of stories about our Indian ancestors, though. I've been working on what I can about my family's ancestry to keep a promise I made to my mother before she passed away.
