"Theocratic Warfare" - An Apostate Strategy?
by slimboyfat inwho here had ever heard of this so-called 'doctrine' of "theocratic warfare" when you were a jehovah's witness?
who has not heard of the so-called doctrine now that you are an apostate?
so why have witnesses never heard of 'doctrine', yet apostates seem to promote it as the last word on witness standards of honesty, integrity and decency?

Was I Disrespectful to Dr Singelenberg?
by slimboyfat inas some may know, richard singelenberg is a dutch anthropologist who studies jehovah's witnesses.
he has produced academic articles and reviews on issues ranging from the 1975 disappointment and child custody cases to jehovah's witnesses in nazi germany and the history of the blood doctrine.
sometimes he sides with apostates and sometimes he sides with the witnesses on controversial issues (though i personally suspect the former impulse is greater than the latter).

Disassociation = Disfellowshipment = The Final Insult (A Proposal)
by slimboyfat ini try to keep up with discussion on this forum, but i missed the threads about the new policy on the announcement of disfellowshipping and disassociation.
so excuse me if i am covering old ground.
the new "organized to do jehovah's will" book stated that in future announcements of disfellowshipping and disassociation would follow the same formulation: "****** ****** is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses".

Apostates' Idealised Image of their Time as a Witness
by slimboyfat ini know some apostates become bitter and can see nothing good in their time spent as witnesses, but i am not talking about that kind of apostate.
i am talking about the other kind of apostate who tends to idealise certain aspects of their time in the witnesses.
what motivates such sentiments i wonder?

Are Apostates Ruining "the Watchtower"?
by slimboyfat inthe witnesses had a coherent and comforting system before apostates came along and challenged many of "the watchtower's" core beliefs.
over blood, the un and other issues the "watchtower" has responded to apostates by clarifying/changing positions.
many firm believers have been led away from the faith by the active apostate community on the web.

Armageddon - Sept 2005: conclusive proof for the arithmetically challenged!
by slimboyfat inthey said it would come in 1975. they were wrong!
just like moses at the waters of meribah they presumed to speak for god when they had no business.
god made israel wait 40 years until moses died, and he is doing the same today!

2034 - A Future History of Jehovah's Witnesses
by slimboyfat ini don't know what i am talking about... read this post at your peril.
back in the 1960s there was, seemingly, a brief period of relaxation in authoritarianism among jehovah's witnesses.
those who have read raymond franz's 'crisis of conscience' will have heard the story about dan sydlik's remark about the need to 'open some windows to let some air in here'.

I still think it might be the truth - what is wrong with me?
by slimboyfat inapostate literature - i have read the lot.
you name it - c of c, gentile times reconsidered, thirty tears a watchtower slave, the orwellian world of jehovah's witness, apocalypse delayed, and the freeminds and watchtower observer sites, so on and so on.
and i have been reading the posts on this site regularly pretty much since it started, and hourglass before it.
