2017 figures released to bethel families worldwide:.

peak publishers: 8,457,107. total baptized: 284,212 .

regular pioneers: 1,225,279 .

Also interested to know number branches, if down from 89 last year.
Given the peak figure, it's difficult to see how there could be a decrease in average publishers this year.
I am amazed that JWs are still increasing to be honest.
But the figure I am most interested in is number of congregations.
I'm also amazed that more and more JWs are becoming pioneers. It tends to undermine the idea that JWs are becoming increasingly skeptical. Unless there is a bifurcation taking place between JW skeptics on the periphery and hardcore JWs who are becoming more committed.
Morris promised the figures would be published on the website "as soon as they are available".

It's not a still picture. Maybe it didn't play properly for you.
I just find something a bit crass about the same music that was used to inspire JWs to join and support "Kingdom work" also being used in a sales pitch for the closing down sale.

They're using Kingdom melodies to advertise branches they are selling because they have declining membership and diminishing funds?
Are they closing the branch in Greece completely?
I wonder how many branches will be left when they are done. Assuming there are still branches at all and the whole thing doesn't go under.

i know we have spoken of this before, but in light of the appaling november 2017 jwdotorg broadcast, these scriptures just need to be highlighted!.

please re-read them, and tell me if they don't apply to the society !?!.

inspired by this weeks clam article which again "reminds" the brothers pdf their obligation/privilege to donate "voluntarily" i have complied a list of articles or videos in the last 5 years where donations are indeed solicited or encouraged.

the society may argue that these are not actual solicitations because no plate was passed around.

but a donation box is just a more discrete and subtle version of the plate.

Beats me what that's all about. The circuits in Scotland already changed a few years ago as far as I know. No new congregations for years possibly decades (apart from foreign language) and I heard about one closure.
In fact can someone with knowledge of the history ot congregations in Scotland help me? I'd like to record congregations with a view to tracking closures going forward. If i could track back too that would be great.
