  i was recently told of a high-up at new york bethel that was provided a nice car, reserved parking space and a key to a private elevator for use by just a few special people.

  .

  does anyone know if that is possiable or was someone pulling my leg?.

  The business that supply much of the materials that the WTBS uses gives some "things" to those in power. It was commonly known that Knorr and many on the GB were given cars by the DOMTAR co. that supplied paper to the factory. This has always gone on with the big suppliers over the years.

  an emergency meeting has been called by jack dowson at london bethel.

  all co's and do's were recalled yesterday and are meeting at 2pm today in bethel (most have left the visiting congregations in limbo.

  the meeting is today(starts at 2pm), tomorrow and finishing on friday at 12 noon.

  hi undf'd or anyone with a copy of the 9-15-02 wt: i saw undf's comments in another thread (about non-dubs attending book studies), and undf'd mentioned:.

  the watchtower society hates the noble beroeans (from acts 17:10-12), so much in fact, that in their september 15th 2002 watchtower, they changed "be like the beroeans" into meaning "do not be like the beroeans"!

  ... acts 17:11: now these were more noble than those in thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.. .

  for those who have left the organization, have any of you gone to another church?

  or did being a jw simply turn you off religion altogether.

  i feel i would like to still belong to a religious group (that's just in my personality) but of course, i would feel really guilty at first going in to "babylon the great".

  i live in broward county, florida...unfortunate harborer of mohammed atta and other terrorists.. next door is (drum roll please)...palm beach county...home of the "we don't know how to vote" crowd.. also next door to (drum roll please)....miami/dade county....the "hanging chad" county.

  and i work next door to the country's largest petroleum tank farm (port everglades...which also houses florida power and light company.).

  and now, lo and behold, we are in the news again.
