One of my pastors just called...

to see how i was since it's been a while since i've been at my church.

he didnt call to ask if i still believed in god.

he didnt call to ask if i doubted that he and the other pastors represented god.

How was your Christmas? Yeah. Wasn't that nice not to be bullied or made to be felt like dog poop? I don't go to any church. Tried 2 times. One was a Lutheran church. Went there right after getting the stare down at the Hall. People were really nice and they even had a luncheon that Sunday, but I found it very formalistic and void. Pastor was fakey and unfriendly. Just too many bad vibes from people in charge. And second try was at a non denominational. People were pretty much a clique and pastor was very pushy to win me over. He even came to my work to talk. I didn't need that all over again. I'm sure it's different in other churches or maybe even the same religion. I guess you just have to find what works for you.

nevertheless makes clear that some witness kids are committing this self multilation, too.

You're right VanGogh. Litter - ature. This org. is so not with it. DF people who have mental problems. Where is the love that they are so happy to claim?

Hamsterbait - isn't it sad? And this is supposed to be God's org? I don't think so or if it is I don't want to worship a God like that. How the hell did the whole family get DF because of their ill son??? Juni ~~~~~~~~~~

Hi Metratron,

Am familiar with this problem. They always want to paint a rosy picture of the Org. They don't want to own their problem that these things exist within the cong. This has been around for a long time and they are just now recognizing it? Actually, to the psychiatric world of medicine it is referred to as self-abuse. Of course we all know that the Org. gets hung up on anything sexual so always self-abuse equates with masturbation.

They think they are the experts with that WT college degree that comes from reading their lit. They don't want to deal w/reality. Quite a few people suffer from this frustrating condition. Inflicting pain on one's self brings relief from stress and therefor pleasure to the psyche.

Weird day with a bit of a shock

weird day with a bit of a shock.

for some time now my best mate and flat mate has been couging up blood and sweating, and a few other things... anyway, came back from hospital diagnosed with tb (tuberculosis).. for those in other countries, tb is almost illiminated in great britain, and children are routinely immunised (including my flat mate) but there are still 7000 cases a year here.

it has 99% successfull treatment rate and yet worldwide still claims 2 million lives.. anyway, i went straight to the hospital for x-rays and... amazingly (as i seem to catch every cold and flu bug going around), i don't have it.

feeling pretty smug.. a couple of months ago i cancelled my dd to the society.

i have since been waiting to be struck by lightening, but as that hasn't happened, and i do feel i want to donate something, but wanted this time to think more carefully about it.

today i decided on my charity and set up a dd.

Hi Poppy!

The WT society approves of using credit cards now for donations? I remember a time when the churches started doing that and it was scoffed at by JW. Boy, anything to keep that money rolling in. In the US starting in January '06 credit card companies are going to raise your minimum monthly payments. For many it will be twice or more they will owe each month. I thought the society discouraged the use of credit cards? Guess things have changed. Juni

Bless you Hunter's Grammy. My daughter also had a preemie so can appreciate the special care and concerns for these little ones. What a miracle baby!! Congratulations and you enjoy the little guy as he grows. Our little Kate is now 2 yrs. and 8 mo. She is such a blessing to us.

i am discovering a whole new way of life and thinking now that i have left the *truth*.

part of me still believes in some of the teachings, i just don't agree with the organization, its difficult to find amiddle ground, i just wondered what some of you have decided on, what your beleif system is now?
