  I love being able to debate topics and hearing other interesting views about issues in the world.

  My critical thinking and philosophy courses really helped me to see all the fallacies and illogical reasoning without scriptural backing (specifically in the watchtower) that is being published by the society.

  See, they were right you are now practicing independent thinking because of your higher learning.

  You'll become a character in a drama at the DC on how college causes ppl to leave Jehovah.

  I graduated high school in 1980 I wasn't supposed to make it passed 7th grade.

  However, suppose a christian has secretly viewed abhorrent, sexually degrading pornography for years and has done everything to conceal his sin.

  I need advice re: monthly field service report

  i stopped going out in service about a year ago.

  just couldn't take it anymore.

  after that, i still continued "studying" with my kids and "counting the time" for that.

  3 hours for a while then 2 hours then 1hour then 0 takes time to slowly fade into the background

  Eventually you will deal with the elders then say as little as possible and just delay answering their questions no direct answers give answers like a politician would.

  They will stop bugging you because of their reasoning that you know the truth and the burdens on you blah blah blah...

  Did they put celebrating Christmas to a vote or didn't they do that back then?

  Which makes me wonder.

  When there is a vote and say 3 or 4 GB's vote against the majority are they shunned why isn't

  there repercusions for the minority when they disagree, they are going against Jehovah!!

  one thing rarely mentioned by jw,s is how the israelite tribes liked to kill each other.. i remember one in particular of the benjamites being nearly wiped out by other israelite tribes.. according to jw,s these wars between jeehovahs people should could and would not happen.. jehovah people would never fight each other as christians or israelites right.. what am i missing?

  Aren't JW,s professed christians?

  the youngest getting baptized was just 10 years old.

  All you teenagers don't you now feel like shit? Jesus was 30 what was his problem?

  "Quiet Please" and "Keep Moving" signs.

  These signs are for the numerous worldly people who do not know the ways of Jehovah.

  Reasonable concern for health care is practical and beneficial.

  Interpretation stop using illness as excuse for missing meetings and field service.

  These conventions make the JW,s think that the world revolves around them, while in fact once you leave you realize that 99% of the world doesn't give two shits about them.

  What are some Watchtower rules and customs that have no biblical basis?

  there are a lot of customs that jws cant do without any clear scriptural backing (off course there is always some infered scriptural principle to back up what they say) .

  when i was a teenager my study conductor disciplined me for burning incense, reading me some mosaic laws that obviously do not apply to christians.

  though this was a personal opinion not a watchtower ruling.
