  I just gave blood and I feel great!

  in australia we have only voluntary blood donations.

  it's quite amazing really that people regularly take at least half an hour out of their lives to give blood.

  so i joined them.

  Wow !!

  You must have had a blood transfusion from a guy because that takes balls.

  I gave blood first and only time april 2005 when the bag was almost filled I started to feel dizzy

  told the nurse and wham my legs were elevated ice paks all over me and a woman massaging my shoulders. (didn't pass out)looked to my right as I felt better and there was an old lady almost done giving, smiling like nothing was happening she asked "are you alright" felt like a wus

  For that matter why did he need another name here on earth?

  Another question where did Michael go when he became a sperm or did God impregnate Mary with a fertilized egg anyway my point is did Michael become only a genetic marker of dna ?

  If so isn't this comparable to dieing and being ressurected ?

  I'm starting to think it's more confusing to believe Jesus is Michael the Archangel vs Jesus is God.

  On a lighter note, I think it would be fun when conversing with a JW to substitute Michael the Archangel for Jesus whenever Jesus's name came up.

  Something strange about "Christs invisible presence"...

  something just occured to me: .

  we all know that "parousia" doesn`t mean "invisble presence" at all, it just means "presence", but think about the inlogical...ness about the whole jw-doctrine on 1914. my question is: what is jesus` job really, up there in heaven?

  - he "took reign" and was "given the throne" in 1914. but what does that mean, really?

  What "practical" tasks is it that Christ really has as the boss (and not even the boss, he is just the under-boss) in heaven? And does he really have the power? Isn`t Jehovah still the supreme boss?

  Hello,

  I specifically remember the co giving a talk about how education was a waste of time because none of it will matter in ten years.

  I also remember a Watchtower that said something like Are you planning for a retirement in this world is that wise blah blah blah .

  Then you look at the retired watchtower conducter living good on his pension and other investments and think oh this is one of those things that needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

  so after a very, very slow process, thinking over things that were stored in a little box in a corner of my mind, i've decided to finally confirm or deny all the doubts i've had about the society.

  i'm a 34 year-old married man, work as an it consultant, with two kids, ages 9 and 2. i was "born" in the organization.

  so i took everything as true, never questioned anything, and did all that was asked from me.

  JWs Called at my House This Morning

  here it was memorial day morning, and i'm out in the front yard watering the gardens when i hear a car pulling up the driveway.

  it pulls into our section of the drive and i see it's a witness couple i know in the front seat.

  the wife is driving and they spot me right off.

  They all met there to preach at the laundromat for 2 minutes then take their 30-60 minute coffee break.

  It's wierd that a religon is obssesed with laundromats and doughnut shops.

  I work with a witness and my wife works with a witness so tired of the

  sad overly concerned hoping for dirty laundry pitiful looking, How are you doing?

  Of course if you would go off on them a little they will say I was just asking a question.

  The bomb scare - Convention

  one of the worst things that a lot of people are scared of, is terrorism.

  its an invisible enemy, to be honest i've stopped watching the news since it just got me down.. at a convention at the manchester evening news arena (used to be nynex arena) in manchester, there was a briefcase found.

  no one claimed it and in the end it was thought to be a possible bomb.

  I know I'll leave them at the District convention for someone else to use.

  I'll even throw in some electronic gadgets to help the poor bros and sistas.

  seems like the mags, the km's, the books are all recycled information from the 1980's.. seems like they thought the end would come in the late 80's based on all the armageddon articles (i seem to remember lots of those in those years).. once we hit the 90's, the some ol recycled information, it's like groundhog day.

  seems like the wt writers are cuttin and pastin.

  why doesn't jehovah bless his people with the greatest writers of all time for the biggest event of all time?
