by Lady Liberty ini have been trying reading crisis of conscience and i found a very interesting point that i thought i would share with you.
on page 234 of the book it is talking about the after effects of 1925 coming and going with the failed prediction that the faithful men of old would be resurected that year and they would be princes of the earth.
of course in the watchtowers famous "way" they put all the blame on the readers instead of on those who wrote the material.

Things JW's Say: "In the New Order, I will <insert activity here>."
by under_believer inone of the most notorious things that jw's like to talk about are their expectations for the new order.
they talk about what things will be like, the kind of activities they'll enjoy, how resurrection will work, what the "worldwide cleanup work" will entail, which houses they'll appropriate, how they'll finally be able to have the kids they've put off, and so on.
here are some of the things i've heard witnesses say about the new order: they would personally explore the moons of jupiter for possible human colonization they would eat meat, since isaiah talks about "well oiled dishes filled with marrow" they would travel the world they would learn to play the piano they would research the "other scrolls that would be opened" they would play football (but not tackle football) they would have bible studies with newly resurrected ones they would speak hebrew (it's the language god gave adam and eve, you know, and we'll all have one language in the new order...) they would literally never feel any pain sensations ever again, even if they banged their elbow.

Maybe carrion-eaters get a pass for a while until everything is all cleaned up, then they will start eating straw too.
Need to keep some meat eaters in reserve though for the dubs who don't pass the final test after the 1000 years.

One person got baptized at Circuit Ass. today (powerhouse circuit)
by thecarpenter injust got a call from a friend who told me only one person got baptized today in a ciruit assembly in nyc.
this is in a powerhouse circuit that had tremendous growth 10~20 years ago but is now seeing a steady decline to the point that congregations are starting to merge because so many are leaving.
what could be the cause of this decline?

why does god(if there is one) pick and choose who to bestow his/her/it's holy spirit upon to understand the bible, if we are all his/her/it's children and he/she/it loves us all?
I don't know that he picks or chooses. I think people who have the resources to know god decide weather to know him or not by what they do (study,read, interact).
It's as simple as the one scripture says I believe and confess my belief that Jesus is Lord and died for my sins.
religous org. like wt hate this because why would we need them if it was this simple.
Also I think Satan wants people to think it can't be that easy.( are the 2 related ?)
I also believe that the big A is far off because I think it's going to be very clear as to weather your with God or against God when big A is closer.

If heavens so great why don't people want to die?
by jwfacts ini have often wondered that since heaven is supposedly so great, why don't people want to die?.
likewise with jw's, many i know don't stop complaining about how bad this system is.
so why don't they want to die, and wake up in an instant in paradise?.

I don't know, maybe the people who try to hang on are more noticeable and then we develope this view that everyone is like this.
Meanwhile there might be lots of people just quietly passing on without any notice.
