are there any statistics to show that proportionally the jw's are growing at a greater rate outside of western countries and, in particular, the african continent?.

is it possible to raise good kids with out religious morals?

making up my mind on how to teach my son values in life seems to be an on going struggle of what is right and wrong.

being raised in a sheltered jw life until after leaving high school seems like going from one extreme to another of being over restrictive or under.

trying to find that balance.

The gods you believe in are not the crucial factor. Chinese believed in the Jade Emperor. You name them , somebody believed in them, and a stable society results...

Jdubs say that without belief in a " god" - that is THEIR God life is no more meaningful than that of a squirrel

So what about all the other moral systems that believe in other gods... They produce fine upstanding individuals, without the slaughter of Joshua or Judges.

Morality is a product of human evolution. It enabled us to work together and survive.

The god of the Bible resembles a primitive King. The same egotistical homicidal rants we read in the records of non-Jewish nations.

World powers come and go .Will China replace America as a first world power in the next decade ?

China does not seem interested in controlling and influencing the world other than countries directly around it's borders . If it does become the leading world power it will be more by default as other countries decline economically.

There are also more Chinese than anybody else.

i have been looking high and low for a hard copy of "crisis de conciencia" for the past 4 years now... i've yet to find it anywhere new or old.

if i could, i would purchase at least 16 of these books and mail them to 16 spanish-speaking jws i know in the states and south america.

it would definitely cause at least 7 of those jws to wake up... i just know it.. now i know it's available in pdf, but most latin american countries are not into e-readers when reading voluminous writings such as this book.

It should be available in more than two languages!! It is so good.

Spanish speakers tend to be less well off so can't buy readers when choosing between that and food for the kids.

The new Kindle is $200.

it is expected that at the 2014 annual meeting, usually held the first saturday in october, will serve watchtower leaders well to cover-up all the 100-years of prophetic nonsense.

rumor has it they are going to celebrate their 100-years of announcing the kingdom in an adroit way by featuring a move of "great" significance to do with the expansion of the governing body to an "apostolic" 12 or some other fantasy idea.. .

On another thread, a CO was reported as saying the new announcement will shock the old timers. Expanding the Gibbering Buddies to 12 is hardly a shock. The numbers have gone up and down for years.
