  i just read a thread that is running on here about a family moving to a lovely place in ontario.

  well, i am trying to do the same thing but did not want to usurp the previous thread.

  the difference is ... i want to go by myself with my 2 pugs and live in the 'bush'(deep in the woods) for a year.

  i just left my work desk to go to the rest room.

  this guy came out of the stall and clearly just finished his business and didn't wash his hands.

  i see this a lot.

  I drive my husband and son mad by shouting .........."have you washed your hands"

  I know I shouldnt because they always do but its just the thought that they may forget , then go into the fridge or start cooking food yuk

  If anyone is a parent who reads this post or replys, do you give to your children as soon as they requests something, I can only imagine a spoiled child pulling on the skirt, give me, give me, give me until they get it. I sure hope

  If my child told me he was hungry, I would fix him some food

  If my child told me he was thirsty, I would get him a drink

  If my child was in danger, I would protect him

  Repeat your quote to all those starving, children in Africa..............................or to those children anywhere in the world who are being abused.

  the door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.

  in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.

  but, it is a diversion.

  This is a really interesting post

  Shouldnt the WT be seriously investigated by some authority. How do they get away with everything, scandals, tax exemption and they manage to do all this by keeping 6 million people in the dark about their activities.

  I often wonder if a local paper campaign, would make a difference. If a letter sent to our own local papers explaining how the WT work to local people, then maybe the message would start getting through to the local witness

  Maybe a letter sent to your MP or county councilor ( Britain)...............I dont know what it is in the US.................surley someone would be interested in all that lost revenue the WT is exempt from paying to the goverment or local town council ?????

  Where should I go buy a new computer chair, desk, floor mat?

  i just moved here in a house where there are all wood floors, no carpet, so i am mainly looking for a new computer chair and the right floor mat.

  i am also considering to get a new desk.

  i want to be very comfortable.

  If you have wooden floors, you should consider buying the sticky felt things you put on the bottom of furniture, to stop them scratching the floors !!!

  And do you have an IKEA store, they cater for lots of computer furniture

  just a little breaking news:.

  after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.

  last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..

  I need HELP and ADVICE. PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE READ

  6 months ago i was d'fd and i am right now confused as to what i want to do cuse i can put my letter in for reinstatement now but i just dont know if that would be the best desicion for me.

  one side of me says go back to the jw org and do all that i can in the org so that i can make it to the paradise.

  but then one side says just do what u want to do til u die.

  The reason for you being df'd even after going and confessing, might have been because, like you said you were "caught". Would you have confess if not? That is probably why you were df'd, they "sensed" you were not repentant. I don't know your family situation either and how they are treating you, if they are witnesses.

  I dont think the reasoning that the elders "sensed" that he was not repentant is good enough..................not, when a persons life is a stake or what consequences the shunning does ..............especially to a young person.

  And confessing, why should someone have to confess to elders when they could have confessed AND been forgiven by God
