  Jeff Goldblum was my family Doctors son. Jeff was a year or two behind me in high school here in Western PA.

  His dad was a great Dr. and treated all my family and did my blood test when getting married.

  Calling Young Brothers to Bethel while Kicking Out the Loyal Ones

  this week marks the news of two "young" brothers i know being accepted to brooklyn bethel.. this pattern continues to demonstrate the current "human resources" policy of the current gb.

  while telling those that have spent the best years of their life, "we need you in the field", they continue to bring in the healthy, unsuspecting young brothers so they can be used up with nothing to show for it late in life.. at last year's d.c. there was an interview with a brother that had been "sent back to the field" some 4 months prior to the convention.

  what was so sad, is that the brother was clearly alone, and perhaps scared, in his new assignment in a remote rural area with a congregation of 40. he had been accepted to bethel after high school, never pioneered, and had been at bethel for 30 years!

  We can only hope that some of those who have..... and will be kicked out after spending the best years of their lives........will find their way here on JWN.

  There has to be some very angry ex bethelites who are now trying to eke out a subsistance living.

  Let's just hope their eyes are opened and can see how they have been duped.

  Anyone Going to Church Yet?

  i've started attending church, recently.

  it feels great to be able to worship with vigor and feeling.

  still have the occasional trappings of having been a witness and guilt about goung to satan's house.

  Good to see you post again! I've been attending church for 6 years now and love it. My relationship with God has grown multitudes and I'm truly happy in my life. Not to mention all the wonderful and loving friends I now have. Their love is unconditional. I don't have to march to any drum to be approved and loved by them.

  My mind might still be a little clouded by the WT doctrine that was "washed" into my brain for over 30 years but I'm learning what true Christianity is all about and doing my part to share my love with others.

  I've personally met three people on the old JWD............fell in love with one of them (didn't work out) and had great great conversation and coffee with the other two.

  I've talked to several and one of them is the son of an elder I have had dealings with from another cong. Some do not post anymore. Guess they have moved along as I have done.......but I still like to read what is going on with the "old faithful" and the newbees.

  All have been great and REAL people.

  My neighbor's daughter hung herself

  when i got home from work tonight i was told my neighbor's daughter had commited suicide.

  the daughter lived several hours from here and i had only met her a couple of times over the years, so i didn't know her at all really.

  from what i understand the daughter had struggled with substance abuse problems for a long time.

  Sorry to hear about that.

  A guy I knew hung himself the day before Thanksgiving last year in a closet at his mother's house. He left an ex wife and a daughter. Sad to say..........he was a substance abuser also and was facing more time in the county jail for not complying with his probation officer. This guy would give you the shirt off his back but was a prisoner to his type of abuse. He is missed by those who knew him.

  It's truly a shame that really nice people such as my friend let drugs mess their lives up.

  is this seriously one of the forum's rules to follow?

  how can that be so when this whole forum is based on inciting hatred towards one religion.....jehovah's witnesses.......wow this is funny!
