Do you remmeber in your mind's eye (lol...I love that...mind's eye) the picture in the Revelation book which showed after the 1000 years were ended that a large crowd of people who rejected Jehovah's ways would surround those faithful ones? They thought they were powerful enough to overtake them. This was of course applied to the future however I have heard ideas in the past where some would say that perhaps even the "new scrolls" had been opened already. With that in mind I wonder if the society would ever try and make this application. Can't you just see after the Brooklyn protest many being upset and then the society uses that scripture in Revelation to show tey will be victorious? I don't know, just being weird here. If nothing else maybe I could get a job in the society's prophesying department...

I really see the religion changing over the next 20 years. There will be a lot of softening of doctrine and eventually the religion will become more mainstream. The last release 'what does the bible really teach' is written in a very broad and soft way.
I will believe it when I see it. I remember thinking things were becoming more liberal and were getting better in the borg 10-15 years ago. In recent years they totally reversed this swing and have gotten way more hard core. If this guy really is a good guy he is still only 1 man. (remember Ray Franz)...

Hey! Is this encouraging masturbation???
by starfish422 infrom http://quotes.watchtower.ca/women.htm : (highlighting mine) it is high time for girls to understand the make-up of their bodies and its functions, especially with regard to sex.
then if a girl understandingly takes care of herself while the ovum is at large and is causing sex disturbance and cravings within her, she will be able to act like a true lady of irreproachable morals at all times.
she will avoid the violating of her virginity and the shame and conscience-stricken state due to this; and wisely she will direct her young life so as to end up in the position of a clean, happy wife and mother of legitimate children, journeying to the new world of righteousness, where there will be no sex problems amid a sex-crazy population.

So while I had to feel all kinds of guilt for "taking care of myself" the girls were jerkin' guilt free? WTF?

I have lived alone for over a year now after being married for eleven years and shunned by most all I knew. It was hard at first but I am now use to it. Taking a walk, or taking part in sports or hobbies is helpful. Just getting out and meeting new people helps. Still, being actually alone is not really a bad thing either because it is in this time we learn about ourselves and have opportunity to grow. Meditation helps greatly as well believe it or not. Accept that loneliness is part of life at times as we all suffer during periods of our life. Making a relationship with our loneliness until it becomes aloneness. Letting aloneness become our companion so that when we are alone we are free. I found it is in aloneness that we learn what our basic nature is. Therefore it is this aloneness we experience which inspires compassionate action in our daily living situations. Take care!
