Kingdom Hall Destroyed By Fire

the denbigh, virginia kingdom hall was destroyed by an accidental fire begun by a member who was welding and soldering pipes in a bathroom.

the insulation ignited and although he tried to extinguish the blaze, he was unsuccessful.

Uh...actually, the city is Newport News. Denbigh is an area of the northern part of the city. I know where that KH is. A friend of mine lives 2 streets over. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your POV), there's a fire station about 2 minutes away....Maybe I should go take pictures?????

Speaking of which...anybody know anything about the congregations that meet in Hampton VA?

My sad start to the day.

to all you animal lovers out there.. i awoke this morning to find that my dog had passed away during the night.. he was a golden retriever cross and the baby of the family.

he loved the kids and would lie down so my 2 year old could sit and lie on him.. he dug out of the back yard and got into my gardening stuff.

he ate half a box of snail bait.. i'm feeling really guilty, sould not have left it out.

My Grandad died this morning

he was such a great guy.

was in the raf in wwii and went to iraq and other places but didn't really talk much about the war.

In parental visitation cases, the courts usually presume that anything negative said about either parent is the product of "hostility". My X is a nut...and even with psychologist's reports that unsupervised visitation is NOT in my son's best interests, the courts would not restrict his visitation.

This guy should be "interrogated"...and I don't mean that in a nice way, to find out where his children are. There are too many cases of a non-custodial parent (who may be rather unhinged) who harms the children with the thought "If I can't have them, neither can she/he". The system is a mess...innocent parents getting the shaft, and guilty parents being let free to hurt their children again.

i have been calling my kids for some time now.

i am moving far away soon, and since i haven't had any contact with my daughters, i called them to let them know i was moving, and would like to say goodbye, before i flew away.

weeks went by, as ususal, and no response.

I've found this rather interesting...we belong to a large Baptist church (no flames please)...

Anyway...I mentioned to a friend that my husband has to have shoulder surgery...within a couple of days, people called to offer to bring us dinner, take my son the day of the surgery...I don't even know some of these people...

Then I read about some of the horror stories here...where people were ill, housebound, just had a new baby and NOT A SINGLE PERSON offered any help at all...and they claim to be "True Christians"? No thanks!

Im A Grandma!!!!

tyler keith, 6 pounds 12 oz (women love the details)lol

he was born june 4th healthy and georgous and my dil is doing well after 15 hours of labor and a c-section.

Our grands are 4-1/2, 4-1/2, 16months and due in October. I LOVE bein' a grandma
