  Has your attitude toward animals changed since leaving the JW's?

  mine has.

  i used to feel, "jehovah considers animals as a whole to be important, but he doesn't consider any one animal to have any value.

  after all, he saved all the righteous people in the ark, but he only preserved a representative of each kind of animal.

  Dave, that is such a great question, I do hold not only animals, but every living breathing creature as deserving of the highest amount of respect to be given to their lives. They are truly viewed by me as Almighty God's creatures, as well as gifts to mankind.

  Animal, plant and even insects are given the utmost respect when dealing with them. I no longer just haul off and kill something indescriminently without thought given to it first. Every other living being, not human, still wants to live, regardless for how insignificant we think that being may be. I no longer take a swat at something in an attempt to kill it. for instance, an insect that may land on my arm, instead of automatically killing it, because it's invaded my territorial airspace, I will blow it off me, or shake it off me, not just killing the tiny creature, because just like me, it just wants to live.

  I even have an higher regard for creatures that I'm not so prone to liking, we have a dog here and I'm not a dog fancier by any means whatsoever, and we have not had a good relationship since she's been here over 3 years now. She's been realy working the sad eyes situation on me, I've allowed her break me down, and I even think I could start to like her.

  TODAYS TALKS WAS BORING AS HELL..........

  i actually went to the meeting this morning (okay, sumeone talked me into going)...........god it was boring.......something about jesus and the kingdom and frigging deuteronomy and hebrews and jeremiah-was-a-bullfrog...........and then they talked about old faithful: mathew 28:19 20 "go therefore and piss everyone off selling btochtower and asleep magazines to all the inhabitents of the earth.

  an' look: i am with you every frigging saturday morning till the government bans your sorry asses.

  i escaped after the first meeting and met the stares of several good christians wanting to know why i was leaving half way through......i told the asshole elder who followed me outside: " i've got my period!!

  i never did become a jw but i did associate with them for a few years by attending meetings, going house to house, and all that fun stuff.

  anyway, i have so much in my mind that i cannot possibly say in one post.

  basically i saw/heard many things during my association with jw that i just didn't agree with or just made me wonder if they were truly teaching the "truth", which i have recently come to the conclusion that there is no truth.

  Questions About Being Worldly

  did you ever consider yourself a worldy person while being a witness?

  if you did, what constituted worldliness?

  in my days i've done many things that didn't bother my conscious, yet, by todays standards of the org.

  It took too long for me to come in from the world, though I'd been around the truth for quite some time.

  Though outward behavior modifications, on the inside, I was still the same person.

  The mind seemed to have changed but not the heart.
