Can you recommend anything. I've already got Pink Floyd, Queen, etc. Can you make some suggestions in the area of rock and electro?

I personally dislike the 80,s Music wise!

But two of my favourite Bands :REM and U2 did plenty in that decade.

A fairly obscure Brit Band called spacemen 3 were around then, who i loved(still do)..then they turned in to the Band Spiritualized.

Happy listening to all your choices!

I went to a Hen's Night on the weekend and the theme was 'Bad Taste Bride's Maids from the 80's" - needless to say I was loving myself sick in my taffeta dress, lace hairband and beads.

Anyhoo, some great music we enjoyed included: Cindy Lauper, Bonnie Tyler, Martika, Cheap Trick, Men at Work, Eddy Grant, Mondo Rock, Dave Dobbyn with Herbs (NZ), Adam & the Ants, Daryl Braithwaite, Little River Band, Sheena Easton, Spandau Ballet, Dexy's Midnight Runners - geez Louise I could go on and on....but I won't.

Someone else mentioned Crowded House - great kiwi music from the 80's - also Split Enz but they were more 70's.
