I should take Sunday school classes
by Atilla intonight on the history channel i was watching a program about the book of revelation.
due to my wt backgrounds, i was told that the apostle john wrote this book, and had always assumed this to be true.
apparently there is great controversy in the scholary world as to who exactly wrote revelation with many thelogians saying point blank that some one, another john, but not the apostle who wrote the gospel account of john, wrote the book of revelation.

Dear Pioneer Couple:
by Atilla inmy parents became dubs in the late 70's, after the 1975 debacle.
admitedly, my mom did have one dub relative on her side of the family but the main reason my parents became dubs was because of one influential and convincing pioneer couple who studied with them.
i know we are all mostly victims of victims but often i think of what if, what if that pioneer couple had never studied with my parents, perhaps i would have had a much better childhood and a better start to my adulthood.

Price of gas....
by Atilla inthe price of gasoline sure is getting high, in my area it is about $1.65, i guess not too bad compared to other areas.
i'm not too worried because my camry gets pretty good gas mileage and i don't usually have to commute too far.. however, i think this summer it may reach over $2 in many areas.
i just wonder how this will affect summer aux.

Running for Congress....vote for me
by Atilla inok, i'm not running right now but in the future i may decide to run for congress, most likely at the state level or maybe even at a national level.
i'm only 24 right now and i'm still going to college to become a history teacher.
however, maybe when i'm older, say 35, i will try to run for some political office.

Amazing, I met a former dub at school today.
by Atilla inin my one literature class today we exchanged our writing papers so that they could be analyzed.
i exchanged my paper with this somewhat older women(about 30) who is somewhat an independent type student given that she is going back to school and is married with two children.
my paper briefly mentioned something about dubs and she admitted that she was raised a witness as well but left when she was 18. strangely, even before i handed her the paper, i had this inclination that she had been touched by the all important "truth".

I like to call Bethel once a month just to bug them.
by Atilla inwho here likes to call up bethel and just bug them?
it all started like 6 months ago when i had some serious questions about baptism nullification.
of course, i couldn't call from home, so i use payphones but too bad their number isn't toll free-damn cheap skates.

Could a JW pharmacist give out the morning after pill?
by Atilla inthis subject came to mind a few days ago when a saw a news article about a pharmacist working at a eckerd drug store in texas.
a woman came in for the morning after pill but the pharmacist who was very religious-not a dub-went in the back of the store and prayed about his situation.
he says that god told him that this wasn't ok, so he along with the other two pharmacists refused to give the pills to the woman.

As a school teacher, how should I treat witness kids?
by Atilla inok, i'm going to college right now and i have about 2 years before i become a certified history high school teacher.
however, i am already beginning to do observation hours and it has got me thinking.
i will almost surely end up with dub kids in my homeroom for the flag salute or in my regular classes.

by Atilla inhey, just saw prince on the grammys with byonce.
she tried to be all up on his grill but he was no reciprocating.
in fact he looked kind of lame and old, like stuck in a time warp.
