Help! I have a pyramid/1914 question?

does anyone know when the watchtower society stopped believing that they arrived at 1874 and 1914 as results of russels measurements of the pyramid ?.

how long was it that they believed their pyramid idea before they used their twisted bible dates to 'prove' that jesus's enthronement wasn't based on a pyramid measurement?.

I beleive the "Pyramid doctine" was discontinued in 1928.Check the Watchtowers dated Nov.15 & Dec.1, 1928.

how so they are tormented from the humiliating exposure by the messages that these prophets(gb/fbs/jw/wbts) proclaim.this proclamation by the gb/jw is what christendom will experience(a 2nd death).

at its regular meeting on nov. 19, the warwick town board announced the plans by the religious group.. the visual impact of the religious denominations plans to refurbish the former international nickel company property off long meadow road stand as the primary concern residents want addressed in any environmental impact statement.. .

Oh great!! Just what we need in Orange County Our neighbor Ulster Co. has the Wallkill farm, across the hudson ,in neighboring Dutchess/Putnam Co. is the Patterson facility, and some years ago they built the Assembly Hall in the town of Newburgh(Orange Co.) after selling the former Assembly hall located in Monroe(Orange Co.) to the growing Hasidic Jewish community .I guess we'll see somewhat paradise conditons within the Hudson Valley area. lol

Has the WTS removed the 'offending' publications? Or just retired them due to time?

i seem to recall the earlier versions of watchtower cd-rom containing books from the 50's and 60's [life everlasting in the freedom of the son's of god - babylon the great has fallen - etc].

i have no cd predating 2001 now in my possession - and looked at that one today doing research, finding that virtually nothing pre-1970 is there [except the revised/altered 'truth' book].. is my memory faulty on this?

could it be that they just 'retired' the older pubs innocently?

I have the 1993 ,1997, 2005, 2007, and recently downloaded 2009 from this site. The 1993 won't download(I have Window's XP) ,but the 1997 did download. The"97" does have the Babylon and James Commentary books. Also I found it had the "You Will be Done"book(1958).

FORMER-JW/COMEDIAN on TV Tonight 10pm EST-TBN

even though this particular show with tim conway was taped a year ago, i only saw it about a month ago, and they are repeating it tonight, friday 1/8/10, 10pm est.. it is 2 hours of different comedians and a few of the guys joke about the jw's, one of them having been a former jw.

it was hilarious.. i forget at which point during the 2 hours the guys start joking about the jws, so you'll have to watch the whole thing.. it is tbn's "praise the lord" program which airs at 10pm est tonight.. if you miss it tonight, it will be in the tbn video archives eventually: http://www.tbn.org/watch-us/archives.

some tech saavy person should tape it and put up the jw portions at youtube.. below is the snip from the daily tbn email about tonight's program... (not sure it will show up after posting, but it is showing up now).... .

this is probably old news but i just opened up rutherfords book delieverance printed in 1926. the year before i was born....in the preface he explains.

that the logos & lucifer are brothers,.

on page 214 talking about false prophets ( churches) he says "claiming for themselves the exclusive.

The book "Life" ,published in 1929 , was basically a word for word rendition of a earlier publication"Comfort for the Jews"(1925) with additional chapters.The following is interesting,taken from page 9:

The book "Children" written in simple language, was intended to be read by children. It's basically a dialogue between two fictious people,Eunice Roders and John Alden who completing school plan on marriage.Once studing the Bible,they change their view on marriage,holding off to after Armageddon.Page 312 states:

Should men and women, both of whom

are Jonadabs or "other sheep" of the Lord,

now marry before Armageddon and bring

forth children? They may choose to do so,

but the admonition or advice of the Scriptures

appears to be against it. Being married

before Armageddon and both continuing

faithful and surviving Armageddon,

their marital relationship shall continue

and persist after Armageddon. They receive

their right to life everlasting after

Armageddon, and after receiving that right

to life their children then born would be

born in righteousness. Children born before

Armageddon of parents who had not

received the right to life would not be born

with the right to life, but would have the

privilege of choosing to serve God and Christ

and live if they prove their integrity. Otherwise

stated, each one must individually

choose and individually be tested.

When I was "the troof" many ,many moons ago I collected all the older publications from the older ones who had passed and their families were giving them to anyone in the Hall. I still have about 3/4 of that collection ,including the recent publications. I figured I'd hold onto them ,maybe someone could use them in their research.Nowadays mostly all the publications are on cds so no one has to pay big money to have the older publications. Wait to you reach the books "Religion" and "Children" , you'll be in for a big laugh!!
