  8,570 people is 5% of the annointed class that are still alive 1,971 years after the selection started?

  They other thing to wonder about is the age of these anointed.According to "theory" the calling for the anointed class closed in 1933 or 1935.Therefore all other anointed after those years would have to be "replacements" for those who had fallen away. MOST of the 8500 plus who partake today have to be replacements. If you were born in 1925 and got baptised when you were 10 and were a member of the anointed you would be 80 years old.How many of the anointed do you know that are 80+ years old??? It is nothing more than BS.

  Surely they can't get this done on the sale of items at the literature counter.

  I think that at the present time one of the largest revenue sources they have is dead people. A very large number of dubs in the USA in particular were born in it or indoctrinated at a very early age.These "baby boomers" are now dying off and this trend will continue. Most...I am sure have the WTBTS mentioned in their wills for a substantial amount. What better way could they have to be remembered by jehovah than they gave their last buck to the org.

  How many Bible studies does it take before brainwashing sets in?

  i would like to know how the study starts...... what kind of information is given to the potential new convert when he / she starts studying with j.w.

  's., lesson to lesson.. what is taught in the first few "lessons".. when the brainwashing starts to be taught.

  How many lessons it takes to convince the student that the W.T. is the truth, and to not listen to any advice from outside the j.w. information. Is it 3 lessons? 4 lessons? etc. (average)

  I just took a look at the "Truth" book published in the late 1960"s on the run up to "A" in 1975.The second study WARNED that there would be those who would oppose you and the new "truth" that you had found.BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE

  madison, wisconsin (ap) -- although wisconsin residents have voiced their support for a plan to legalize wild cat hunting, some legislators and cat lovers say they will continue their fight.. the proposal would allow licensed hunters to kill free-roaming cats, including any domestic cat that isn't under the owner's direct control or any cat without a collar, just like skunks or gophers -- something the humane society of the united states has described as cruel and archaic.. .... every year in wisconsin alone, an estimated 2 million wild cats kill 47 million to 139 million songbirds, according to state officials.

  despite the astounding numbers, the proposal has been met with fierce opposition from cat lovers such as ted o'donnell.. o'donnell, who gathered more than 17,000 signatures in an online petition to oppose the plan, was joined at monday's meetings by scores of other animal lovers who held pictures of cats, clutched stuffed animals and wore whiskers.. .

  I am sure that Wisconsin residents would quickly change their minds about this if the law also applied to "feral" dogs. It is a tough situation. I have a lot of feral cats around my home. I would hate to see them culled but I do see the problems they create.

  Can you be disfellowshipped for taking a yoga class?

  i was just wondering since i've started taking a yoga class.

  not that i would mind being df'd but not ready to lose the family.

  i lost my wt library cd so i don't have access to the society's stand on yoga.

  i'm working out at the ymca with my sister, and she spots an old dub friend of mine playing b'ball on the court.

  i had become really close friends with him during my high school years (about seven years ago), and lost touch a couple of years ago.

  anyway, he much like most other jw's in my life i never really had one last "huraaah" before i formally da'd myself in 2004, so chances are he never got the word.

  I anti-witnessed to an Elder in a Salvation Army thrift store!

  Talk about hypocrisy.

  I caught an elder coming out of a sally ann store. His eyes got as big as saucers when he saw me. I just grinned at him and kept on walking.

  The sally ann or YMCA... they are all a bunch of religious hypocrites who have to look behind them every time they break their rules.

  My find at an Antique Shop

  yesterday was a nice day so i took out my scooter and i went over to the library and also decided to go into the antique mall just across the road from us.

  i love going to antique shops, so i was browsing at some old books and i seen this old purple paperback book and i picked it up and it was called ; the truth shall make you free, at first i thought this sounds like a jw book but why so old as a paperback .

  upon opening it i was suprised that it was indeed a paperback book by jehovah's witnesses 1939 and it pretty good shape.

  Blondie, the practice of the School Overseer correcting everyone' Written Reviews went into the 1950's.

  My Dad was doing the school back in the late 1950's. I remember him taking home all the reviews to grade the "students". What a lot of work to have to do. Those with low or failing marks were "encouraged" to do better in the future (prodded with stick)
