the governing body has approved combining the essential elements of the durable power of attorney (dpa) document and the advance.
What I would like to know is who keeps track of the DPA's. Is a copy registered with the local congregations ??
If I cosigned a DPA and then decided that a blood transfusion was best for my wife would that override any congregation documents and influence in the matter. If an elder signed instead would that mean that he had more"power" than a husband to do the no blood policy??
I think maybe...if she asks me I will cosign one for her.It seems to me then I keep more control over what happens.
in the newest kingdom ministry publication comes the information of how they're combining the 'no blood' card and the 'health proxy' document into only one card.. the card will have pertinent information according to the region where the person lives.
publishers will only need to change this card if personal information changes, otherwise one can keep the card forever instead of the nonsense of having to fill one out at the beginning of each year.. the wtbts sure is simplifying matters as time goes by.

i was a witness for over forty years and for most of that time the "new world" "paradise" was not a place i ever wanted to live in.. there are many aspects of life in the 21st century that are great and i wouldn't want to give up.
tv, internet, blues/jazz clubs etc etc.. i may be shallow.
but there were other better reasons millions of people would have gone, wiped out by god: this never sat easy with me.. i told my elder father that i wouldn't want to live five minutes in god's new system, knowing that people i loved, had been killed by god because they didn't love him in the way he wanted.. just telling my father that has made me really wake up to how i really feel about my ex religion.. does a paradise earth as jw's depict appeal to you?

A paradise without internet...WELL that just simply would not be good enough. After all look at all the great information that can be found on the internet.
i noticed that at least in my area the jws are morraly corrupt.
now this is not traditional corruption where i bend the rules out of greed for power or money.

we are still good friends.

I remember the same as Mulan. I hung around the kids in the neighbourhood and at school. We played together,went to movies and generally had a good time. I was never told to only be with witness kids and my Dad never worried about it or talked about it at all. They didn't have elders way back then but Dad seemed to be in "charge" of the MS and was always bringing home the written reviews to be graded by % and handed back to the student. AH...The good old days...They didn't like any to have "failing grades"

I remember that question and I remember this answer being given to me... that at some point during the "anointed" persons life if they became unfaithful, they could be removed from that 144,000 number and when that happens a SLOT OPENS UP!!!
If they are DFed they are no longer part of the 144,000 and a space opens up. However if they repent and are reinstated they are part of the annointed again. Then the person who filled the slot has to step down and go on a standby list for the next opening.
I don't think I am making this up .....honest.

i finally realized the other day that i was completly out, i think for the first time i really had evidence that i was out.
i was at a witness get together (wife still in so i'm allowed to tag along...) and a witness i didn't know from kentucky or tennessee or somewhere was talking to me and using the "terminalogy" and something i said must have cued him because he said "are you a jehovah's witness?
There are witnesses that do still speak to me, and treat me reasonably well, but they can't seem to have a conversation that doesn't include "enouraging" me to come back.
It is an itch they have that they have to scratch. It kind of reminds me of a dog with fleas.

The presidents of the different companys organized in 2000 do not have to be annointed and I don't believe any are.
