HOMEWORK AND KIDS?

is it me or....................do you think our children are being overwhelmed with all the extra homework they are recieving from school now?

i have 2 kids.

one being 15 and the other being 12. i just find that the homework load is so much, compared to when i went to school.i mean we are talking about at least 2 hours for my oldest son and 1-2 hours for the youngest.

Whenever I try to help my daughter with her work,she gets fusturated because I'm not doing it the same way as the teachers.I agree with there being too much cutbacks but I know its not easy trying to play teacher at home. There is so many times my daughter would bring home work,and she didn't have a clue what to do. I asked her if the teacher explained it to her.Her reply was,"no". I had to look at it myself and try to explaine it to her and how it was to be done.

Yah, I never used to have a clue, but since I am repeating a grade, I do alot better and I finish practically all my work in school. But b4 I do remember my mom trying to help me out and I would freak out cuz thats not how they explained it in school then I would get more confused, and just give up. I always did bad from grade 7 till 9, but since im repeating grade 9 I'm getting A's and 81% on my math test. Awww yeah!

Multiple boards/Multiple personalities?

going from board to board i notice how certain people who post will be so different on other board, while some don't change their style.. do you change your personality or style when you post on other boards and try to fit in and be accepted there, or do remain yourself no matter where you post?

I am ALWAYS my self, and if people dont like me for who I am, then thats there opinion. I could care less if someone hated me becuz if they wanna hate me then go right ahead becuz its not my choice. I dont see why ppl would and do hate me becuz i am a very sweet and loving person... ppl tend to think different after they get to kno me.. then they seemed to get attached to me

I found God Today (not fluff)

perhaps the oddest thing i've looked forward to doing for years is finding and activating my god spot in my brain.

my wish finally came true today.

if anyone reading this isn't aware of what a "god spot" is i would say in a nutshell that it is neurological response to magnetically stimulating the brain where many people feel "god like" experiences and describe either unusual illusions or intense religious feelings.

many magazines are published and they also come out with books.

each magazine you are supose to read.

every book you will read as well in a book study that will last a year or two to finish one.

What Bugs You The Most About Jehovah's Witnesses?

The thing that really gets on my nerves about the JW's is when they shun out family members or old friends... like what my dad and uncle and grandmother, do to my mom... it bugs me more than anything... i barely visit my dad, but when i do go there im there to see my sisters and my brother and step mom! my dad and uncle are creeps... like if u try to speak ur mind politely... they're like i dont care. Me and my uncle were playing around and i told him to be careful becuz i just got my nails done and he might break one... and sure enough he broke one... n i confronted him and tried to blame the whole thing on me... i was so mad i stormed out of the room! i told my dad and my dad said i should make him pay for it... the tru i should have but why ask when u kno he will say no!

Nauseating e-mail

my friend's intentions are sweet, but read this forward she e-mailed me and tell me if you'd reply, if so, what would you say?

i found myself getting angry that people would actually forward this crap to me.. .

I totally agree with that, like what about all of your other friends? I see no point in sending thses things in the first place, makes no sence at all!

I get those all the time but, i really dont like the ones that say if u do not send these to at least 15 ppl or you will have bad luck for a certain amount of time.... or that ones that tell you stories baout ppl hwo ignored it and go killed... i really dont like that!!! thats the worst thing ppl could even send to you, or even make up! I delete all the emails i get like that n my luck never changes! so i dont see the sence in even having chain letters in the first place... N yah the ones that are funny i like ot read those and send them along as long as they dont say u will have bad luck in your love life..like thats messed!

i like the holidays.

they give me something to look forward to besides the asembleys and memoral and the deer hunt.

and to heck with you jw's who come in here with your smug ways, why don't you try questioning a few things for a change you will be surprized with what you discover.

I love the holidays, and same as every one else im not into halloween, im getting older and starting to feel stupid dressing up and going door to door saying "trick or treat" whats the point when u can go to the store all year round and buy candy, chips and pop! But yes I am going this year cuz i dont wanna disapoint my friends... but either than halloween i LOVE Christmas and Easter and of coure THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER: My BirtHdaY awww yeah!!!
