Governing Body member is in Australia right now!

sorry i have to remain completely anonymous about this but you will see why.

i have first hand knowledge that geoffrey jackson of the governing body is staying with his parents in toowoomba, queensland for the next few weeks.

he has already been in australia for a couple of weeks.

Those authoritative elders didn't hold up her allegations and they are supposed to speak for Jehovah.

Why would she even believe that worldly police would help her? If the elders couldn't and they were representing "God", she wouldn't think her testimony was good enough to go to the police.

Hell, the elders have even told her that, according to the Bible, it didn't happen.

I would call all that "discouraging behavior".

It wouldn't surprise me if she has been working for the WTS as a "consultant". At one point iin her testimony she said "we" and then quickly changed to "I"..."would have to look at that" - when questioned about a problem with the WT policy.

From her claimed and apparent knowledge of the WT literature, she has been working with the WT quite a bit. And was pretty familiar with their procedures.

I think she has a fairly long standing relationship with the WTS.

I missed most of the second part, I will have to watch it later...just tuned in to get the full "witness" that Spinks was spinning to the judge - when he went off about all the JWs in Russia and places and then threw in their WW2 experiences, I was horrified. All to say "we won't budge".

No, you won't budge. We know what happened in WW2. And we know what happened to children that you made martyrs for not saluting the flag way back in the 40s. Some of those childrne were horribly beat - one boy was even castrated. All for YOUR first amendment rights. And...I am not even going to get into the bloody doctrine.

Baker misses opertunity re no part of this world

why did disfellowshipped ex elder baker not explain why the elders have not informed themselves about the royal commission ?

mr stewart gave him the opertunity to explain the "no part of this world" doctrine, he merely expressed surprise that they had not informed themselves as if it were a personal foible of those particular elders.

it would have been a great opertunity to express disgust at the distain and uncaring attitude the society exhibits toward its worldly neighbours, i also believe him to be out of date re superior authority doctrine ..giving creedence to the lie the jw's are good and productive members of society.

the elder just being questioned is yet another sly manufacturer of deceit and the use of theocratic warfare.. how can these men say the can't remember when it's their own letters, their own implemented policies.

hell, it's their own books and magazines the commission is using, along with internal letters etc.

Can you just imagine the kind of coaching and preparation they got? The Bible principles and scriptures they were to follow would have been made very clear to them. The WTS "rules". Reinforced with appropriate Bible verses, would have been integral in their preparation. They would have taken the time out to study those directions carefully.

Careful Bible study - it is all they know how to do. The Scriptures as directed to them to study. That is how they prepared. Exactly the way they have been trained. "Read these scriptures, brothers...and repeat after me...I swear to tell the truth you (oops...Jehovah) want me to..."

DeRooy even speaks clearly about this.

At one point (was it right after the lunch break? BCG's lawyer questions him) he talks about visitng BCG and how he "comforted' her. He said something to the effect that "reinforcing what they already know will help them heal." In other words, "study your WT literature". The only tool that they have is "what the WT says" or "what the rules say". Pretty sad.

Monty Baker's lawyer had questioned DeRooy about if he had not read the statements because they would be viewed as apostate material.

That was a critical question - the elders have been coached heavily - probably heavily indoctrinated with Bible verses that tell them not to betray their brothers, and not to listen to those who speak out against Jehovah. it is all those stupid Bible indoctrination scriptures that are getting in the way of the testimony. The ones on how to view apostates and such, keeping the congregation clean, etc.

They "don't recall" when it might be construed as "turning in your brother" and they don't read the statements because they have been counselled "not to listen to those who lie about Jehovah's organization".

The JWs have been coached as to which bible principles to follow when testifying. And to follow the bible law. They have no concept of "truth". They may not have read the statements, but it is pretty obvious that they have been told what is in them and how to respond to key parts of the victims testimony. And which bible verses to keep in mind.

Maybe that is what the hand signals from the WT lawyers mean - maybe they signal certain bible principle to follow, key bible verses that apply to that part of the testimony.

firstly, thank you to anyone who is in support of this rc.

no one has shown anything but great interest and empathy for those who were abused.. i don't know who this simonsays character is though and i find him to be very rude and ignorant.

it takes all kinds to make the world go round i suppose.. today i was contacted by a staff member of the royal commission.

umber: What I really want you people to know is that the Royal Commission may be over in terms of the live streaming, but it will not be over for a long time. Months to be exact. I didn't know this and find it a valuable piece of information.

Australian RC - Hot topic

i have listened to segments of the hearing.. i am really impressed with the way the rc are well informed about jw procedure and the 'flock book'.. does anyone know how the rc got so clued up?

are they just that good at what they do?

(not saying they're not).. have 'mentally diseased apostates(tm)' been of use to the rc?.

Punkie, when you think about it, it is pretty ridiculous.

The elders have one little skinny book, a fistful of letters from the WTS, a bunch of grade three level WT literature/magazines...and a big book called a bibble.

Have you ever been inside of a law library? Wow...woww. Or even inside a lawyer's office - with rows and rows of law books all lined up and even lying all over the place. Those lawyers appearing for the Commission have a mountain of knowledge behind them that they can access and that they have studied. Those poor pathetic elders have a skinny little book, and a bibble. And a hot line to "the branch".

This is not a fair fight at all. The JWs came to the court armed with a silver sword and a pocketknife. That sword is a toothpick compared to the Commission's weaponry. Even those WT lawyers are sadly incompetent.
