Search Enhancements

the following would enhance searches:.

- searching "by topic" or "by post" .

- being able to sort results by date, replies, etc., same as one can do now with "subject area".

I am still unable to use the search feature.
Had no problems with the previous version of board software.

Now, whenever I go to enter my search ( click into window ) it resets with no search.

i'm embarrassed to admit i don't know this.. i would guess in the early 30's when the little flock/great crowd/we're jw's doctrines were implemented.. please include references to the publications in your answers!.

( did that sound like a desperate plea for comments on the service meeting?

The mathematical probability of spontaneous order (no designer/creator)

there seem to be many prerequisites for life as we know it.. to name a few: order, function, compatibility, availability, sustainability, intelligence, consciousness, intuition and so on.. focusing on only one, namely order.. what are the chances of order arising spontaneously, by chance, with no creator/designer?.

i have often pondered this and recently came across a mathematical summary of the big picture:.

if every particle in the known physical universe (10^80 particles), participated in one trillion interactions (10^12 interactions) per second, for the entire 30 billion years of the universe's existence (10^18 seconds), then we would by now have covered only 10^110 permutations.. if you had only 100 components in a container, what are the chances that a blindfolded person could lay them out in order on a table?.

i realised something today.... we all happily accepted something really ridiculous.....something that if worded how i will word it now, we would have rejected as ridiculous, but after a moments thought, would have to concede.. we once followed the governing body because we believed they had supernatural powers.

how ridiculous you may say, no we didn't!

of or relating to things that cannot be explained according to natural laws.

my wife and sons don't know how far i have gone in withdrawing from the organization in my heart.

i've been faking family worship.

i got angry and almost showed it while watching the march tv.org.

I can't see attending the meetings for any reason.

I tried. After a few times of literally walking out in tears during the concluding prayer, I called it quits for good.

Go at your pace. Seems to be different for everyone.

If you aren't sure what to do, ask yourself:
Why would Jehovah give information to HIS chosen people that would need constant changes, refinements and radical modifications, if he only dispenses truth?

When we clearly see that the WTBTS has been making changes after failed prophecies for it's entire history, we'll then notice it's the Watchtower that made us apostates.

Oh Damn...I have been sprung!

i knew it could happen one day...yet i was so careful..... sitting at the sound cabinet, i had our awesome forum open on my tablet, and didn't see the microphone brother looking over at me...... he wandered over and asked me "whats that site?".

i quickly responded "oh, i googled to get to our jw.org site, and this must have popped up" while quickly closing it.... he didn't look too fussed, but my heart was beating..... he is pretty chilled out and certainly not an "uber-dub"...but this was a wake up call to be more careful...i am fading fast, but don't want anymore attention from the nazi-elders while doing so!.

" i told him "humans make mistakes, they were wrong by claiming that.

We should all have copies of that magazine at the ready to show any nosy JW that decides to poke around...
