what are the sure fire, tested and true tactics that will keep the elders off your back?

As my situation has changed and an elder tried to get me to meet with them, I asked my wife to deliver this to the elder today, which she did.

Here's the first part.

Dear Brothers,

The purpose of this letter is to clarify certain matters and to secure and protect what I, Kairos Trekkor Wills, consider basic human rights in dealing with agents of the multinational Watchtower corporations.

Since you have asked me to respond to charges in what could escalate into a judicial committee, there are a few things that I must ask for and which I feel must be clarified before I consider meeting with the elders, judicially or otherwise:

1. I shall be notified in writing of any accusations against me, the names of persons making such accusations and the substance of all evidence against me.

2. I shall be notified in writing of the exact purpose of the meetings.

3. I shall be notified in writing of the time, place and purpose of any meetings with the elders, judicially or otherwise.

4. I shall be notified in writing exactly on whose behalf the judicial committee was convened and is acting: the Oak Knoll Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses or its legal corporation, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses or its legal corporations, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, Inc., the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, the International Bible Students Association or any other agency not here named.

I received the template here and it is proving to be exactly what I needed. I was carrying it around with me ready to hand it to any elder I might find. This is better, as what's he going to do, refuse it from my JW wife that attends the meetings?

That would be weird. "I cannot accept that letter".

No calls yet and my wife seems to indicate they got the message.

Leaving the org and marriage possibly ending

i was raised a witness, baptized at 16, vacation pioneered, got married, etc.

i was very much your typical witness and believed it was the truth until last summer.

a very close relative of mine left the witnesses.

There are many that have experienced similar situations as yourself.

I honestly thought my wife would leave me for exiting JWs.
We are still together and it can be very challenging.
We are both committed to staying together and being a mutual support for the remainder of our lives.

The first step to freedom is rejecting the "authority" of the elders over you. When I realized that they are strangers for the most part, why in the world would I want to tell them things that they will immediately gossip about? They were never my friends.

This will be the hardest thing you have ever had to cope with.
The hardest part is already over, now that you are awake to TTATT.

I wish I had the patience to take a slower approach.
My JW wife constantly reminds me that there is no emergency.

I Made the Literature Trolley Run Away Today - Twice

i popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.

it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.

here is a picture of the scene from a year ago... two cult carts were in their favourite place being guarded by none other than one of the elders who was on my judicial committee, his wife and another jw woman in her electric disability buggy.

i've been toying with the idea of just coming out and posting my name and location as an attempt to be available to locals that secretly browse the forum that have known me for up to 25 years.

( "reaching out", so to speak ).

i'm not da'd or df'd, so this most certainly could end in a dramatic confrontation.

Got a call from an elder today.

Oak Knoll WT conductor...

I asked why he hasn't spoken to me in two years.
He ignored that and said that I hadn't spoken to him in two years either.

Very clearly stated that I do not acknowledge their authority and gave him three options after admitting apostasy:

Come meet me in person alone as a friend, in writing or good-bye.

( just to be a bit of dick, I said you can even come over here and watch me smoke a cigarette )

I explained that if they disrupt my life or my basic human rights, I will pursue legal action.
"DO NOT PURSUE ME!! I repeat DO NOT PURSUE ME!!"

He selected good-bye.

There is so much more, but isn't that enough?

Told him to expect my e-mail tonight.

l just had a discussion with my uber Dub father about the RC in Australia

just jotting this down while it's fresh in my mind.. joe= apparently they have got issues over in australia at the moment with sex abuse, and this time the government got involved.. dad=yeah they mentioned this at the assembly last weekend.

apparently so they said all religions and organisations are been investigated.

joe= kind of seems funny how the only 2 religious groups been interviewed so far are the catholics and jws.
