yes, today is the forum's 15th birthday!.

i never thought for one moment that it would survive this long or have so many people post so many great subjects over the years.. it is still humbling when i get pm's or emails from people expressing how the site has helped them and of course thanks goes to all the posters who have shared their experiences and make helpful and supportive comments to others who are in the sometimes difficult process of learning the real truth about 'the truth'.. the site has gone through several different incarnations over the last 15 years running on different platforms, different databases and different hosts but we've been able to keep all the old topics.

the current site is still being developed and i'm hoping to push another major upgrade soon.. i also may have some other news to share soon about the future of the site so stay posted.. until then, here's the the next 15 years!

Thanks for providing the platform for so many to better themselves.

I'm happy knowing what we contribute to assist a new member is so much more than placing a magazine with someone.

I'm flashing back to when someone answered at the Oral Review almost word for word to the cheat sheet. Doing that to the Elder, from the Elder's Book would be hilarious!!

What would they say? ( you gave the right answer )

If I ever get a letter, I'll start with:

"That sounds great, please send correspondence to my lawyer and schedule a date at his earliest convenience, and oh yeah I almost forgot, we'll be recording the hearing".

How is Joe Publisher reacting to all the TV coverage on the abuse cases?

please pardon if this a repeated topic.

i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

I asked my wife if she had heard anyone mention the TV spots.
She said no.

She only saw them because I asked her to watch the YouTube recorded videos with me.
She's "waiting on Jehovah"... <facepalm>

with satan's media and satan's internet the odds seem to be in his favor,while jehovah's earthly organization with all these multi-million dollar lawsuits waiting to be settled in or out of court it.. it seems that satan's multi-organization can claim the high moral ground while jehovah's earthly organization is left holding the bag full(in the thousands 23,000?

) of anonymous child molesters just waiting for another victim and more lawsuits in the making.

looks like a victory for satan demoting jehovah's organization to the shit can file of ancient history.. for a hundred years it looked like jehovah's organization was going to keep going strong then jehovah caused so many wrong dates for when the end of the world was coming and now with the invention of the internet where these big problems with jehovah can be aired in public seems to cast a spell of doom over jehovah causing him to hate to see tight pants on men and women and child like wizard toys and deaf people mastering the art of baiting ..

Wife fully awake.

i learned this past week that my wife is now awake.

i just shared the pbs newshour segment with her with no comment other than something along the lines of, "jw story on pbs.".

she is furious at the arrogance of these men.. thats what happens when you get a momma angry!.

I was feeling a bit down this morning.

This news is like dream come true.
I am so happy for you both.

It's bittersweet as I read this joyful story while my wife is at the meeting.
This fills me with hope. Congrats once again!

i figure it's about time that i stop silently lurking around this community and actually add to the conversation, so here goes a first post.

a little about me-i was born "half-in", that is, my mother has been a witness for the entirety of my life whereas my father has never been.

i was an active part of the congregation (at least for what an unbaptized publisher can do) until i turned 18 and got an opportunity to attend a university (go school!).
