Satan and the demons, ghosts, spirits, fortune tellers. Are they real?

i believe in god.

i don't believe he punishes or rewards people.

so by the same extention i don't believe any spirit beings can communicate with or influence humans.. many who do not believe in god though, have gone to fortune tellers.

true true, i also figure if there is a satan and hes in control of the whole world, hes only busy with some and not all.which would be odd

i never ever could wrap my head around why satan would 'take jesus to ne tempted for 40 days' after he was baptised. and offer him kingdoms.or any of the supposed satan stories, what the hell, go into the pigs and run off a cliff. ok, was tha t suppsoed to kill them? if they can GO into the pigs they can go into the air! lol

turns out the people in that group back then hated pigs. story i guess.

my mom a firm yet pretty unknowlegable jw used to always say to me " satan blesses his own" when id get annoyed that we had it so hard and others had it so good.

I never ever knew what she meant by that, so no matter who you worship, you get blessings? so then who cares?

armageddon is a place , according to a scripture i read.

the great day of the war of God the almighty already happened when jerusalem was detroyed.

people lived thorugh that great tribulation.

according to hebrews, we all have to die first then be judged.

jesus only died for the nation who were under the law of moses.

he told the apostles [only the 12] to go to the lost sheep of israel , not the gentile nations.

yea, I was surprised too. read it in matthew. [and probably mark luke and john]

paul preaced to the gentiles.

but if jesus does for all mankind and was teh sacrifice for our sins, we are forgiven, no matter what, becasue we are imperfect and cant help it.

even if we do it one purpose, its becasue were imperfect that we do! win win.

oh, and paradise in in heaven, so says 2 cor 12 vs 4

HOW CAN WOMEN BE ANNOINTED BUT NO PRIVELAGES IN HALL?

i had listened to the degrading talk by gb heard (on women) & watched a video on evie bklyn channel & there was alot of interesting questions that are raised.. i had always wondered why can't women in the hall handle mics or run magazine counter etc.?

but they (if annointed) will rule in heaven with jesus.

that is a pretty heavy responsibility to help jesus rule millions of people on earth, but yet they can't pass a mic or even run the sound system in the kh.

i used to ask my mother, where in the bible does it say women are aprt of the 144000?

the bible says they are virgin men.

she called me a name. then said its in acts ch 1 and 2.

isaid, no, it isnt, letd read it together.

so we did,

she was silent and said you need to have a bible study with your aunt she knows all those anwers.

no she doesnt mom, i already asked her.

[in the scriptures there are women in the higher positions of the congregation, its just not in the jw bible].

i said mom, why do the 144000 have no right to give thier opinion on whats taught? why if they are special chosen by God are they not in bethel

writting these books and magazines? why are they not meeting together at memorial, so they can meet and encourage one another?

why are so few of them ever elders?

she has no anwers.

feeling like a true apostate today

it was back in 2011 when i was convinced that jws dont have the truth.

i rejected so many teachings and was open about that to members of my family.

it took me another year to pluck up the courage to attend other churches.

well, the only benefit to an elderly person comming to the kingdom hall would be to add another number to the membershipand another means of cash donations

shed be useless for service.

on the plus side for her, maybe, if she doesnt already have one at all, would be a social life a few days a week.

shes old shed die before she could do anything other than donate money. If she even has any money for that purpose.

a we all know history repeats itself, this is why a book like the bible is so hotly discussed.

and i am not different in my opinion. which is,

all these lituriture writings have been written for the purpose of leading the people of the day, to a hope of a savior. all were written after the fact.

many were written from stories told by villaige elders. Ie: grandpas stories.

so, hebrew scriptures are to be interpreted as all being fulfilled, when the Christ supposedly came.

all of those of the political arena at the time, fit the revelation and daniel and ezekiel, prohetic writtings.

this was proven.

however its now firmly believed by many of those in the historical and scientific and archeological fields, that jesus never exsisted, since none of the many writters of history, like josephus, has written anything about the man.

now its believed that Jesus was a roman invention to keep the poplulace in control, a conspiracy. and maybe thats the big secret in the vatican temple.

as for me, well, i still intend to treat my world and all in it. with respect and love. because even if Jesus dod not exsist, you have to admit, the lessons are advantagious. and what a masterpeice of 'divine' deception if it is true!

Recordings of UK or US assemblies

i had a phone call with one of the elders who advised i attend the assembly at the weekend.

i have plans (and a life) but i said i'd go there on the weekend as i can't take short notice time from my studie and work.

does anyone have a link to the assembly or transcript that i could look through?.

recently i had been at the home of a jw who is sort of a natural cure enthusiest. i often would go there and try some of his herbal meds.

he asked me if i got to the conv. i said no

he asked me if id like a dvd of it, Iasked him why a dvd, he said the conv cant be listened to, it need to be watched, he said there were large sceens with videos! so, anyway, that was 3weeks ago, im still waiting for the dvd.

im not holding my breath. although my mom might have been over thier house and when he went to give the dvd to her, to gve to me,

she probably spilled the beans and told him i dont go to meetings anymore.

i dont think i coukd sit through it tho

but when the co visits comes they want to shake your hand and even (cringe) hug you?

its a big freaking social event. going out in service to knock on empty doors and go to the same return visits that have been getting magazines for the last 10 years is just an exscuse to get together with people. because if you just call them up and invite them over your accused of to much socializing!

the 'privliage' of working with the co and his wife, is like a lottery, ooooo,

who is he going to pick to go in the c.o. car group! and then if you are you feel all special.

its funny, rather than waste gas and time riding around sitting in a car and stopping every hour to take a leak or have coffee,

why not just get together for a nice evening with freinds! duh, THATS what its all about. THAT is how yu find out that sister so n so broke her ankle

and needs help vacumming, or brother so n so, is looking for work, or someone wants to have a picnic.

or little sister so n so got the measles.

but noooo we dont know anything, unless your in a car listening in on someone elses conversation.

some people are so transparent.
