I don't think YK is saying the WTS cares about him. I think he believes they would never DF someone for pointing out their hypocritical stand on the UN. For maybe he thinks that the WTS would be afraid that the person who was then DFed might talk to the press about why they were DFed and then end up drawing much public attention to the UN NGO thing. Something the WT would prefer not to happen.

The problem for YK is that the WTS has DFed good people for disagreeing with them on far less important matters. The fact that they would allow someone to get away with a "greater sin" simply to avoid looking like the hypocrites YK now recognizes them to be, should cause him to realize that the WT Society is not now and never has been anything more than a bunch of con men. Why he so desperately clings to his fantasy that they have ever been anything else, I'm not sure. Probably for the same reasons as most JWs who learn the truth about "the truth" I would guess. He does not want to lose his family, his friends, his glorious position in the congregation, or he believes one of the Society's biggest lies, that all who leave them behind are doomed to live a life away from God and Christ.

You have to have some kind of JW death wish. You would certainly be disfellowshipped if the Society informed your local body of elders about the contents of this post. Your real name and address have been previously posted both on this forum and on the old H2O. Sooner or later some "apostate" who is tired of reading your ravings, or one of your "brothers" who is tired of seeing you criticize the organization they worship, is going to send a copy of some of your stuff to Brooklyn. You must know this. As I said, you've gotta have a death wish.

in a certain circuit, all elders are jerks.. 1/2 of all the ministerial servants are also jerks.. 1/2 of all the jerks in that circuit are elders.. there are 40 elders are 46 ministerial servants.. no elder is a ministerial servant.. 1/2 of the number of jerks who are not elders or ministerial servants are pedophiles.. how many pedophiles are there in that circuit?.

Since this is a logic problem, I'll say nine. After all, someone can't be just partly a pedophile. That's like being sort of pregnant. Either you are or you are not. I believe mental health professionals now tell us that pedophilia is not a curable mental illness. That being the case, there are no "former pedophiles" or "slight pedophiles." So a half in this case equals a whole. So, I'll say nine.

I assume you are referring to the Bible which is used by Protestants. I also find it interesting that our Bible is composed of 70 books. ( The Psalms were originally compiled into five separate books and they remain so divided in all Bibles today. "Book 1," "Book 2," "Book 3," "Book 4" and "Book 5." The five books of Psalms along with the Bible's other 65 books makes 70. ) The Bible often uses the number 70 to denote spiritual completeness. That our Bibles contain 70 books may be a good indication that God has not inspired any other books, such as the Book of Mormon, etc.

Not really. The big problem I have with the Trinity doctrine is that it says that the Holy Spirit is a "third person." It seems plain to me that the Holy Spirit is either God the Father Himself or God the Son Himself or both. For the Bible refers to the Holy Spirit as both "the spirit of God" and "the spirit of Christ."

However, as I told you earlier, I definately believe in the deity of Christ. Something which you also told me. I assumed when you said that that you meant just what I meant, that you believed Jesus Christ was God, not that he was a small g god or a second big G God. For I have never heard of a Christian who worshipped two Gods. If that is your position, you have to admit it is fairly unique.

As you know, the Trinitarians knock JWs for being "polytheists," worshippers of more than one god. But that is not quite accurate, for as we know, JWs do not worship their little g god, Jesus. I think I understand to you say that Jesus was a little g god before Pentecost and afterwards he became a big G God. Does that mean from that point on Christians should no longer call Christ's father their God, or do we now have worship two Gods and leave ourselves open to the charge of being polytheists? You mention that it is helpful to "think Jewish." Obviously Jews would not think much of us having two Gods.

As you know, historians tell us that the personal name of God, as recorded in the Old Testament, was not used in either its written or spoken form for many years before the time of Christ. Because the Jews were afraid that casual use of the divine name might amount to "taking the name of the Lord in vain," they actually forbid its use altogether.

As you also know, the Bible tells us that for Christians the name of Jesus should be promoted above every name. (Phil. 2:9) Has it occurred to you that it may have been by God's own design that His Old Testament name fell out of use and was eventually lost, to make certain that the name of Jesus Christ would be put "above all names" by Christians?

Just a thought.

i understand that a lot believe that micheal and jesus are one in the same some believe that jehovah and jesus are one in the same some believe that one is the son of god yadda yadda yadda.. would some of you please address or post your reasons for believing that micheal the arc angel was not gods first creation and why he couldn't be the one sent to us to be born as a man and become our savyor?

why would he not have another name fitting his role as a man on earth?

he obviously wouldn't be living on earth as a child growing up as an angel.

As I have told you twice already, I believe God could do anything, eventhings that do not make sense to me or things which seem impossible to me. However, as Christians we should believe that God does things in the way that the Bible says that He does them. And the Bible does not indicate that he does things in the way that you say He does them.

On the surface your explanation of how Jesus could become God (Do you put a big G or a little g on that word when you use it to describe Jesus?) seems to be a good one. Kings and queens do often abdicate their thrones to their heirs. The only problem I have with that is that the God of the Bible seems to say that He would never do such a thing. "I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion." (Ex. 20:5) Jesus said the same thing. He said, "It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service." (Matt. 4:10) Yet we know he accepted "worship," the same Greek word he used in Matt. 4:10. (Matt.28:9,17; Luke 24:52) Many other things come to mind. For instance, God said, "I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory." (Isa. 42:8) However, Jesus said, "For the Son of Man is destined to come in the glory of his father." (Matt. 16:27) As I've said before, I'm not sure how I feel about the Trinity doctrine. But I believe that the Father and Son are One in a far greater way than the way JWs say they are.

i talked to several people here today who dont believe there is a god at all.

this is disturbing!

The God of the Bible created our universe and He loves us all very much. I have no doubt about it. And I have listened to everything all of the atheists, agnostics and Bible bashers here say to the contrary.

Of course the reason the question seems hard to answer is because you are asking yourself the wrong question. Peter asked the right one. It is not a question now of where you should go, but to whom you should go.
