  What is this new jw.org religion?

  i recently was on a trip in central america.

  any kingdomhall i passed by had jw.org banners or scribble that went over what used to say kingdomhall.

  in a flea market, and other business areas, i saw the infamous literature cart out.

  The inside of the religion is still the same ol same ol. They are trying to polish it up to appear different but on the inside nothing much has changed. it's still the same nasty cult that it was 10 years ago. The harmful blood and shunning policies are still rock solid among the R&F

  No. I had a good child hood with loving parents. They are brain washed. But still loving parents. If you take a very loose understanding of abuse then any child raised in any religion could be considered abused. Catholics are told they will go to hell if they are bad. Some witness kids were definitely abused. But I most assuredly was not!

  does the BORG follow OSHA standards at KH/ASSEMBLY builds?

  had a discussion with my wife about kh/assembly hall builds and i told her i don't believe the watchtower society follow osha standards on there build sites.

  she trumpted it up that the borg follows stringent pratices and there standards would be more strict.

  i laughed and said....ya i don't think so.

  the rbc rules have become way more strict in the past few yEars. the safety brigade is everywhere on job sites. No one under 16 is allowed on site anymore. when I was a kid it was a free for all.

  i have quite a big group of friends who were all in the cong together when we were teens.

  about 75% of them stopped going or were df'd right after high school.

  it is a varied group; a couple are staunch apostates, some dont care one way or another, and another handfull are fully "worldly", but still believe it is the truth.

  I haven't seen any go back due to the 100 year mark of rule. My mom is trying really hard to get my bro and his family to come back but they have no interest in it whatsoever. Thank god for that.

  please don't take this the wrong way if your battling weight problems, that's not what this thread is meant to talk about.

  i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.

  i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".

  It's definitly an issue among witnesses. I am still in and I can definitly spare a few pounds. that's one of my goals as i leave the Borg. To get much healthier. I think a lot of it comes down to not viewing this as the real life.

  i know that there was some kind of edict was sent down to all COs within the last few years that they need to lose weight And be healthy. One CO (azar) was huge. Last I heard he lost most of the extra weight. I think all traveling brothers were told to either be at there optimum weight or they were no longer going to be COs.

  DELIGHTFUL DROP IN MEMORIAL ATTENDANCES: 2011 VERSUS 2014!

  the us kingdom ministry shows the collective total 2014 memorial attendances of the countries that now comprise the us territory in 2014: 2,610,810.. those countries are: the usa, bermuda, jamaica, turks and caicos and puerto rico.. the same collective total for those same countries three years ago - 2011 - was 2,666,592.. that's a decrease of 55,782 from 2011 to 2014. i am happified.. while there has been the occasional year in which memorial attendances from one year to the next have shown decrease, this is a first: decline evident over a three-year period.. comments please!.

  Thanks for putting those numbers together! It is going to be fun to watch what the future holds for the Borg. Normal middle class families are not joining. Long term that is bad news for jdubs. That would be a really slow bleed though. I am hoping that something way more exciting happens.

  i'm seeing tons of comments from sad jws on my facebook feed saying that the beloved golden calf jw.org is offline.. what are you seeing when you try it?

  *crosses fingers* i wish it could never ever return.. are they getting too much traffic to support?.
