i'll get disfellowshipped and never have to worry about being "told on" again for living a normal life, or; they won't do anything.. either way, it's freeing and i feel relieved... it will be sad if i get disfellowshipped but i've come to terms and made peace with it as much as can be expected.

My husband is good friends with some elders and ms. That's his "crowd" so to speak. And they haven't treated him differently since I stopped going. Oh well, for now things are calm between us and I have completely rejected the religion. Only went yesterday because my child persisted and at least I was able to record the whole thing.
i recently started watching this series in a boxset i bought and can't believe how similar my eldest daughter seems to behave as do the children who have been 'harnessed'.
these kids in the show have been abducted by aliens and made to believe the aliens are good to them all the while they are turned into different creatures.
it's quite eery.

I will be celebrating Christmas this year again. Last year my child and I went to a church for their Christmas eve service. It was nice. Halloween isn't so easy (i have never been big on holidays, but thanksgiving and Christmas I have celebrated for years.

So, question from your experience...When I went to the meeting I was love bombed, invited to gatherings, etc. But many of them know I am not in agreement with the religion and stopped studying and meetings. Why would they lovebomb? Do they not care, or is it out of respect for my uber dub husband? Or do they really think it will change my mind? It was...interesting.
this is the scuttlebutt in one of the "bethel congregations" by us.. no details as to exactly what this "faith-testing" announcement might be.. anyone else hear any of this pre-zone visit hype?.
